Reliving the moments from last weekend at the @atlartfair

I clearly remember the first time I attended the Art Fair on October 5, 2024. It was like being a kid in a candy store! 🤩 I couldn’t believe how incredible everything was. That night, I quietly asked myself, “HOW did all these artists reach this level of accomplishment?”

Then 2025 came, and I attended the Art Fair again. This time, I saw @artfulatl being part of it, and I remember feeling so happy to see that.

Little did I know that God had already paved the way for me. That quiet moment I had with myself back in 2024, when I wondered how artists reached that level, was about to become part of MY story in 2026!

Sometimes, you look back and realize that while you were dreaming, God was already working behind the scenes.

And here I am, reliving a moment I once could only imagine. 🥹 I’m going to say it again, AND AGAIN thank you @artfulatl @sohesolutions @georgegalbreath for believing in us and giving us a platform to shine ♥️♥️♥️#communitylove

While “Generations of Becoming” was my favorite piece, “You Slipped Out Of My Hands” still makes me tear up every time I look at it.

I created this piece after my father passed away, and it carries a part of my grief that is difficult to put into words.

No matter how much we do for our parents, sometimes there is still that feeling of, “I wish I had done one more thing… I wish I had one more moment… I wish I could have said one more thing.”

Grief has a way of reminding us that love is never measured by how much we did, it simply leaves us wishing we could have had more time.

This piece will always hold a very special place in my heart. It was difficult to put it out there, share it with everyone BUT I needed to release it and heal ❤️

These were the little things and THE BIG things that brought me so much joy this weekend at the Artfair!

My artwork, “Generations of Becoming,” SOLD 🔴 and just like that, it found a new home, a new collector, and the beginning of a wonderful new journey.

I’m so elated that my art connected with someone special out there. My healing, my journey, and my love for this practice that I call MY creation are now being shared with someone who connected with it in their own way. There is something so beautiful about knowing a piece of my story is continuing its journey beyond me.

I’m forever grateful to @artfulatl, @sohesolutions & @georgegalbreath for your support, patience, uplifting spirit, guidance, and the incredible community you created throughout this process.

This weekend was a reminder that the work, the vulnerability, the risks, and the love I pour into my art are all worth it.

I’m getting closer to reaching the finish line 🏁but I’m going to take my time on these… they are too precious to mess around and skip a step and go insane if it gets messed up 😄

Woking on multiple projects keeps me going and helps me focus in an odd way:-) I can do 2,3,4 creations but don’t ask me where I put my glasses, phone or keys 🤪

Besides these, I worked on something else that took TOO long to finish (5+hrs straight)!
Excited about this project and hoping for a positive outcome 💕

On this Sunday, I woke up feeling so much joy. ❤️

As an immigrant, the feeling of having limited access to great opportunities can sometimes play mind games with us. So yesterday was especially meaningful. The mind game was just a mind game … over here to play with us 🙃• Anything is possible • 💕

To see and hear @abstractexit on stage @highmuseumofart was an incredible experience. What a brilliant soul! I was SO HONORED to be a part of it all. You made all of us proud 🇪🇹🇪🇹🇪🇹!!!

And then walking into The High and seeing juliemehretu’s painting… WOW. 🤯 To experience her work in person was truly out of this world.
