This is Lady Illmatic The first picture is named: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Majesty This picture depicts a deliberate collision of two opposing eras, constructed to challenge historical absence and cultural assertion. Drawing from the Victorian era, a period that largely excluded African Americans unless framed through servitude, the image reclaims visibility and authority within that visual language. This is set against the influence of the 1990s rapper, marked by unapologetic bravado, gold chains, and public self-expression. By merging these timelines, Aidoo reframes power and presence, asserting that dignity and dominance transcend the constraints of any single era. #explorepage #photographer #editorial taken in Houston, Texas by @aidooaesthetic

Inspired by the audio visuals of Solange’s “When I Get Home”, and dedicated to my late grandmother Yvonne Miles. I challenged myself as a photographer to make something that would make that had spectacle. This production forced me to utilize all my tools and my network to communicate the idiosyncrasies and amalgamation of black people. This is my testament to togetherness and individuality. This concept has many names but to me it is a crossing of different art and being. Art Crossing. Basin and Iberville where I met my grandmother and Our Skin Our Logo based off the melodies of Solange. I want to thank everyone involved and those of you who have supported me for the last few days, weeks, months, and years. I am trying to accomplish a task that my Momo would be proud of. If it weren’t for her and my family I wouldn’t have started this artistic journey. Special thanks to @geechesuede @downtomylove @honeybeenice and my niece for helping me coordinate. #photography #photographer #photooftheday #photo #love #nature #beautiful #picoftheday #instagram #landscape #picture #photograph #happy #flowers #bees #explorepage #discoverunder5k #neworleansphotography #booknolaphotographer #nolaphotography #nolaphotographer #eventphotographer #neworleanseventphotography #nolaclothingbrand #nolaphotoshoots #neworleansphotoshoot #booknow #bookneworleansphotographer taken in New Orleans, Louisiana by @aidooaesthetic
