blurry, imperfect shots for a sanitized musical internet

Thank you to everyone who came for body music and needed it, thank you to everyone who threw down just as hard when the speaker breaker tripped.

Thank you @purgatory.bk for continuing to let us throw this insane show

Thank you to @freakpov for locking in with me twice this week and a dozen other times in New Orleans.

Thank you to @kyxm.fm for the blistering and psychotic closing set that kept everyone on the floor to the bitter end

And most of all thank you to @bcables.s for being the best opener in New York and building this beautiful thing with me. I wouldn’t want to do it with anyone else.

I’m deleting the app again shortly. We’re building a cuter, fuller, more artistically fulfilling way for people to keep up with @transmit.nyc that avoids the pitfalls of big tech and the enshittification caused by hype. Think something between the lines of a retro-web zine and an old school rave hotline. Announcement when I re-download.

I love you 🤍❤️🤍❤️ by @aila.wav

HI YES HELLO @transmit.nyc IS BACK AT PURGATORY IN 2 WEEKS

Me n @bcables.s are bringing back Brooklyn’s cutest t-word techno jaunt, AND for the first time in New York, I’m gonna be reuniting with fellow swampy techno televangelist @freakpov, so you know we’re gonna make the robot sounds gay as hell. Also stoked to announce this is our first show with @kyxm.fm , who we caught in between their busy schedule of blasting bass at 8ball and GRID.

We’ll be playing music for the heads, we’ll be playing music for the bodies, we’ll be playing for people who just came to make out on a subwoofer. We’ll be playing music for people who just came.

THIS WEDNESDAY at 7PM — a new arrival to Brooklyn, @aila.wav was raised in the New Orleans underground on a diet of techno, acid, electro, and the sexiest sides of bass and club music. she'll be supplying GRID radio hour with a blend of techno ranging from the hypotonic to the sultry, hazing the line between body and mind 🧪 taken in 8 Ball Radio by @aila.wav

And finally, we want to take a minute to highlight @aila.wav who will be part of @dressednopickles’ upstairs techno fiasco!

A longtime New Orleanian on her way to Brooklyn, Aila’s techno tastes range from the minimal and groovy, to the squelchy and sculpted, to the hard and hypnotic. Her sets are a tightrope walk between cerebral and downright slutty Make sure you catch her and a slew of other talent TOMORROW!
