I made every dish from Ratatouille! This was such a fun summer dinner :) I served everything as it appeared on screen - a labor of love but so so much fun

Table setup in front of the TV

Baguettes and whipped butter! No scene to go along with this one but basically required to start a French meal

Sharp cheddar and strawberries for the classic flavor visualization scene

Lightning-y mushroom puffs to represent the mushroom on a stick that got struck by lightning - spicy fried mushrooms with sriracha aioli (I think this was my favorite dish)

Potato, leek, and carrot soup - worthy of earning a spot as a Michelin line cook

Classic french omelette filled with bell pepper and basil (steak basil from your neighbor for authenticity)

Sweetbreads à la Gusteau - actually the dish that I most wanted to try because the combination is so outlandish. I tried to stick to the actual dish as much as possible while still making something palatable. This was fried pork cutlets breaded with nori panko, dogwood butter sauce, pan seared calamari with herbs, sautéed mushrooms and of course, Remy’s special sauce (which turns out to be raspberry papaya sauce, believe it or not)

The pièce de résistance -ratatouille! The version featured in the movie is actually a dish called confit byaldi

The only dessert featured in the film is a slice of lemon cake Remy finds in the trash at the very beginning. I wanted to serve dessert at the end (obviously) and lemon cake seemed a little labor-intensive with everything else I was making, so I went for a classic chocolate soufflé with vanilla bean ice cream to close out the meal
