If you ask me what I think about most, it’s color. Most times I get lost in the swirl of flowers-the ideations in my head having been on repeat for weeks, swiftly disappearing as obstacles set in. Having to rewire with new visions, new hues, new combinations as the flowers change weekly in their coloring, the light shifts and the line moves. I feel suddenly inept, have I been pulled astray. And then I remember, as the flowers move in through the door and many hands gather to gather, that this thing I’ve been chasing, is exactly what I’ve been dreaming of. by @ailishfloral

Honestly, some of my couples never dreamed of a big wedding. What they pictured was something small — 40 people, a great dinner, the people who matter most. So for a weekend wedding experience that’s where we go all in — the rehearsal dinner becomes the intimate wedding they always wanted. This doesn’t mean they don’t have a blast at the wedding, actually it becomes the opposite. The rehearsal dinner leads into the welcome party, which prepares them for the wedding. The wedding day becomes a breeze, pure joy, so much presence and, of course, so much beauty. By the after party, they are hoping it never ends. Thankfully, we have a brunch for a final close out of the weekend. I truly love weekend weddings. From high school sweethearts to self described teammates, to officially Mr. & Mrs ✨Stephanie and Zac’s Catskills wedding this past weekend was a masterclass in the spirited and genuine celebration. We kicked things off with a Field Day on Friday before heading to @scribnerslodge for a welcome dinner that ended in a library dance party. Cherry blossoms are for lovers. Would do this one a hundred times over, it never gets old. From the pink powder puff ruffley blooms to copper and chartreuse foliage they are one of my favorite hallmarks for the season.
