“It’s pretty hard to stay hopeful but it’s important that we do. It’s not only possible, it’s essential, and the most radical act of resistance that we have available to us.”

Grace Petrie at Aviva Studios, Manchester ❤️

Grace played the very first LOUD WOMEN Fest in 2016, so this one felt particularly special. Lauren Wood’s beautiful review captures exactly what Grace does so brilliantly live: fury, humour, vulnerability, solidarity and, crucially, hope.

“In just two opening songs, Petrie had masterfully done what her music does best: rallied the troops.”

From ‘Farewell to Welfare’ and ‘Storm to Weather’ through to ‘Black Tie’, ‘Iago’ and ‘The Distance’, Grace sent the room back out into the world feeling a little more capable of doing something about it.

She’s touring the UK throughout October, so catch her if you can.
