Meet the first artist spotlight for the Not Alone Anymore Solo Show Festival: LAUREN KEE ✨

Lauren (she/hers) is a Chicago-based storyteller, producer, and nonprofit project manager based in Chicago. She’ll be kicking off the festival lineup performing her one-woman show, Dealbreaker, on Saturday, October 17th at 2:00 PM.

Dealbreaker is about herpes, heartbreak, and the death of the one-night stand. She blends storytelling with comedy to share what it’s like dating with herpes, handling disclosure, and the path to healing. Dealbreaker asks us: How do we learn to accept ourselves when it feels like no one else does?

Swipe through to learn more about Lauren and her show!

A quick recap of this amazing past weekend with tasty dumplings! 🥟✨

Thank you to Chicago Cultural Alliance @chicagocultural for making the World Dumpling Festival happen, and to everyone’s support! Not only were there some of the best food, but so were the artists involved, such as Steven Cristi @stvncrsti who made it extra special.

It was so wonderful to see @mayahlava onstage again! This time with @miaparkmiapark on the drums. This was a one-time-only staged reading of The Best Damn Thing—inspired by the hits of Avril Lavigne, and it was funny and touching and angsty. I’d say go see it, but you pobrecitos will have to wait for the full production. Congrats to all for a really great show✨✨ taken in American Blues Theater by @aimeealker

at yesterday’s writing session we wrote and talked while sheets of rain came down outside. idk if a solo show will be its final form, but oh it’s good to be in a writers’ circle again by @aimeealker
