Humans are rubbish... First time joining The Friends Of Bradford Street @bradford_st_bhm litter picking group along side fellow digbeth residents as well as people from local business @howells_makes which is amazing! Really felt the community feels but equally was shocked at the most prolific amounts of rubbish on our streets.🤬The items I collected the most of this time was GRAFFITI CANS/ NOZZLES & NOS CANISTERS - Do your thing and take everything with you maybe? Seeing people come together for such a good cause on such a hot day is amazing but I wish it weren't needed! I didn't find many usable materials today however I am looking for certain things so may do some stories later. 🌟I take my hat off to The Friends Of Bradford St as they have been doing an amazing job making digbeth streets nicer for us all! Mushroom for more? 🐚 🐚 🐚 After a brief hiatus from my semi consistent posting this year. Thought I'd reshare my favourite mind-blowing discovery id always hoped to recreate after seeing it on a @nhmla post years back. When I had posted this originally I had hoped to be filming it on a beach...I managed it in August! I could get lost in these for hours 🌌Okay, I really do get lost for hours making these. It's so therapeutic and calming. Looking through and sorting all the tiny bits and bobs I've collected over the years too!Oh and making lots of mess! Though that's less therapeutic to pick up! A few of these will have little terrarium domes made from old jars,I'm excited to prep those! Obsessed 🤩 🌊🧜‍♀️🐚✨First of the bunch for the whimsical mermaid bunting. Little bit rustic, very much upcycled and repurposed and definitely so many more details to add. Loved watching back at my excitement every time the shells threaded through easily. This is my therapy. I absolutely love finding sea pottery. Along with all the other seaside treasures. I am currently trying to find out more about this piece. It is some sort of bowl or cup due to the circle base underneath. From looking about a bit I'm taking a wild guess it's Scottish. I know ... it was found in Wales?!There's lots more for me to root though and clean up. No sea glass this time sadly, a few shells for a few ideas in mind. And a very lovely time away from the city life. My friend Paul actually spotted this and called me back from whichever shell pile I was sifting though to come do the honours! Since my visit Paul has now found a few other amazing finds, I'm glad I've added something new to his dog walks 🎉Thank you Wales 💚 #beach #treasure #wales #seaside #pottery by @aimeejmakes

Obsessed with finding new places to explore 💚It was just what the doctor ordered 💯 This is Beddgelert in North Wales, I had gone to visit Holyhead to see friends & do some shell collecting which mainly consisted of finding lots of sea pottery surprisingly and very specific shells I already had ideas for. I don't mass grab and go!Beddgelert is lovely location with a sad story about a dog called Gelert honestly hard not to cry for that one! 📖 Also found the lovely store that is @beddgelertwoodcraft@lovebeddgelertHad some nice grub in the lovely outdoors with all the views by @bistrohebog looking forward to coming back to try the full main menu there too! The lady bug hotel & spa 🏖️ 🫧 for this lovely sunshine 🌞 Foraged, recycled & repurposed this little mini world is for everyone even the bug world! I turned round after photographing another and found this guy wandering about checking out the facilities🐞 👣 🫧 These are worlds you can get lost in and let the imagination take you sailing off. I've started making a few woodland miniatures that you can add your own finds to. You know, because Im sure you must have that favourite rock or shell, a thimble collector, fossil forager 👀 So watch out for mini shadow boxes made out of recycled wooden packaging soon! #miniature #spaday #nature #naturelovers #ladybug by @aimeejmakes
