I stopped trying to fill every moment.😇❤️

Not every opportunity is meant for me.
Not every invitation deserves my energy.

I’m learning that a peaceful life is not an empty one.

Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can say is no. by @aimenarshaaad

It’s been a little over seven years since I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes, and honestly, sometimes it still doesn’t feel real.

I remember the day I found out—the fear, the confusion, and the disbelief. Even after all these years, it still feels like it happened yesterday.

Before my diagnosis, life felt different. Simpler. Freer.

I didn’t have to think about blood sugar numbers, insulin, or how my body would react to something as simple as a meal or a walk. I still miss that version of my life. I still miss the person I was before diabetes.

Living with Type 1 diabetes is more than injections and numbers. It’s a daily mental, emotional, and physical journey.

There have been hard days filled with exhaustion, sleepless nights, scary lows, and frustrating highs. There have also been quiet victories that only I understand.

Over the years, my body has changed. My face has changed. I’ve experienced weight loss and weight gain, and sometimes I haven’t recognized myself in the mirror.

But through it all, I kept going.

I learned. I adapted. I stayed strong.

Alhamdulillah for the strength Allah has given me.

Seven years with Type 1 diabetes, and I’m still here.

Still learning.

Still growing.

Still fighting.

This is my journey—and it’s far from over. by @aimenarshaaad
