Sometimes the hardest part about taking a trip is figuring out what kind of trip you actually need.

You know you need a break.

But scrolling through endless hotel options and “top 10” lists doesn’t exactly make the decision easier.

In my experience, what most people need isn’t just a vacation.

They need a reset.

Sometimes that looks like being outside and moving again.
Sometimes it’s slowing the pace and staying longer in one place.
Sometimes it’s reconnecting with a place and culture that pulls you out of your routine.

The right trip isn’t about doing more.

It’s about choosing the right environment for where you are right now.

If you’ve been feeling like you need that kind of reset, send me a DM or comment RESET and we’ll start the conversation. ✈️

Hi, I’m Edgar — the person behind Āina Adventures.

I design trips for travelers who are curious about the world and want to experience it fully.

The ones who want to hike the trail with the view everyone talks about.

Find the restaurant locals actually recommend.

Wander through markets, landscapes, and neighborhoods that make a place feel real.

But planning trips like that takes time.

Researching guides.

Finding the right boutique hotels.

Figuring out which experiences are actually worth it.

Before long, something that should feel exciting starts to feel like another project.

That’s the part I take care of.

Through Āina Adventures, I design journeys that bring together meaningful experiences, thoughtful pacing, and places that truly connect you to a destination.

So when you arrive, you’re not managing the trip.

You’re living it.

And if you’d like help turning that idea into a thoughtfully designed journey, comment **RESET** and I’ll send you the details to schedule a discovery call.

The hardest part of taking a trip is often planning it.

What starts as excitement can quickly turn into hours of research, decisions, and logistics.

Great travel isn’t just about where you go.

It’s about how the journey is designed.

The pacing.
The experiences.
The moments that make a destination come alive.

That’s the work I do behind the scenes so you can focus on what matters most — actually experiencing the journey.

If planning your next trip is sitting on your to-do list, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Comment RESET and I’ll send you the details on how we can start designing your next adventure.

Āina Adventures
Your Adventure. Elevated.

We’re celebrating over here. 🎉

Alexandria just wrapped three countries in two weeks — Amsterdam, Morocco, Lisbon — and had this to say:

”…This was the best traveling experience I’ve had in a long time.”

That’s what it’s all about. When the trip is designed well, you stop managing it and start living it.

If your next trip has been sitting on the back burner, let’s get it moving. Link in bio.

72 hours off the grid, and not a single pool chair in sight.

That’s the kind of trip I book when my clients are craving real reset, the kind where the phone stays buried and the only thing on the schedule is dinner, sleep, and maybe one very good hike.

The sweet spot is a place with limited signal, thoughtful service, and enough natural beauty that checking email feels almost embarrassing. Think a private safari camp in Botswana, a remote lodge in Patagonia, or a tiny island hideaway in the Seychelles with no reason to scroll.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign to book the kind of escape that actually shuts your brain off, I’m your person.

DM me to start planning your off-grid escape.

Does your travel advisor have this much fun? 😉

Having a great time with my brother @takeswitheli in Montreal. Weather has been so-so but everybody has been very welcoming and the food is great. Can’t complain at all! #traveladvisor taken in Montreal, Quebec by @ainaadventuresllc

Honest answer to “do I need a travel advisor?”: probably not for every trip.

One destination. Somewhere familiar. Simple logistics. You’ve done it before and you know how it works. Handle it yourself — you’ll be fine.

The line moves when the complexity does.
Multiple countries. Unfamiliar logistics. An active itinerary with a lot of moving parts. A group that can’t agree on anything through a group chat. That’s where DIY stops saving you time and starts costing you more of it.

The other thing nobody accounts for is what you don’t know you’re missing. Maybe the routing you built adds two hours of unnecessary transit. Maybe there’s a better-positioned hotel in that area. Maybe that highly-reviewed excursion isn’t worth the half day it takes.

You find out when you’re already there.

Full breakdown at the link in bio.

Most people don’t realize their itinerary is the problem until they’re already exhausted on day three.

The schedule looked good at home. Logical, even. Then you’re standing in front of a cathedral at 9 a.m. thinking about how many steps it is to the next stop and whether you’ll make your lunch window.

That’s not a trip. That’s a relay race with better scenery.
Pacing is the part of trip design nobody talks about — and it’s usually the first thing that falls apart when someone plans their own. Not because they didn’t try. Because they optimized for coverage instead of experience.

Most people think hiring a travel advisor saves money.

Sometimes it does. But that’s not the real reason to hire one.

The real reason is what you get back.

The hours you’re not spending scrolling Instagram Reels trying to figure out if a destination is actually worth it or just well-lit. The Sunday afternoon you didn’t lose falling down a Pinterest rabbit hole. The week before the trip when you’re not chasing confirmation emails or realizing you forgot to book a transfer.

Planning a trip takes longer than people think. A lot longer. And it doesn’t stop when you book—it picks back up the moment something changes, a flight gets delayed, or a question comes up at 10pm.

That’s the part I handle.

You show up. I’ve already thought through everything else.

If you’re tired of the research spiral and want someone to just handle it, link in bio. Fill out the inquiry form and we’ll take it from there.

You can learn a lot about a city before you ever look at a map.

Paris smells like butter before it smells like anything else. Lisbon is warm custard and salt air. Istanbul is saffron and sesame and something slow-cooking somewhere nearby.

Food is how I understand a place. It’s also how I design trips around one.

If that’s how you travel, link in bio to fill out the inquiry form.

The people who keep everything running rarely stop to ask what they actually need from a vacation.

Not another thing to manage. Not an itinerary they have to babysit. Just a stretch of days where someone else has the details and they get to show up and be present.

That’s what I plan for. Trips that are spacious, well-paced, and built around how you actually want to feel when you land back home.

If you’re ready to hand off the planning, link in bio to fill out the inquiry form.

The best way to understand a city is to eat your way through it.
Paris. Lisbon. Istanbul. Three cities, three completely different food cultures — all worth building a trip around.

Swipe through and tell me which one you’re eating your way through first.

If food is how you want to experience a place, link in bio to fill out the inquiry form. That’s exactly how I design trips.
