“Timely and profoundly relevant, the collection asks readers to participate in conversations about the bygone witch as a historical, cultural, and political figure while examining who gets remembered or labeled as a witch ... and why.”

Pick up your copy today, and please consider leaving a review on your favorite platform to help expand the reach of our authors and their excellent work. @mxdibe and I appreciate your continued support for the collection!

🎉 Milestone unlocked! 1,719 days have flown by, and I’m grateful for this journey. Courses, exams, research, and a 500+ page dissertation passed with distinction. 8 publications on topics from witchcraft to horror to circus, including 1 co-edited book. 1 circus exhibit co-curated. $8200 in funded research, fellowships, scholarships, and grants to visit archives all over the U.S. 8 awards / nominations for research. 2 invited talks. 5 panels chaired / co-chaired. 16 conference / symposium presentations. Multiple podcasts recorded plus an open-source audiobook chapter. Thousands of data-sets programmed and coded and re-coded. Service on boards and orgs and peer review. Many miles traveled, cups of coffee consumed, circuses visited, cemeteries walked, PDFs downloaded, words and phrases analyzed, rituals observed, genealogical records untangled, artifacts examined, and friendships made. What an immense privilege it is to do this culture-based work.

Ph.D. officially conferred. Thanks for the wild ride, @oduenglish & @oduglobal, @oduartsletters & @olddominionu. Thankful to everyone who helped me achieve this dream.

Live your life. Put in the work. Dream bigger. Always make time. Hustle hard. Laugh loudly. Listen closely. Be gracious. Keep learning. Stay humble. Help the next person in line. Be unstoppable. And don’t you dare give up. ✌️

When dissertation expertise meets beloved recreational reading ... 🎪🏍️📚

Excited to present my mixed-methods analysis of @brynne_weaver’s Ruinous Love trilogy today at @northeastpopculture! I code and analyze Weaver’s authentic use of traditional circus words and phrases to discuss circus community and resilience, insider expertise, tradition, and social connection. Love it when my worlds collide! 🖤 (Brynne, if you see this … can we talk circus? 🙂)

Sad to share that we had to say goodbye to our sweet teeny gal this morning. Biscuit was so very loved, and we are thankful she got to be here for 18 years of antics. 🐾🌈 Find a cozy spot in the sun, sweet girl. We miss you already. by @aine.norris

(Me taking selfie with John Waters)

John: “Your camera is just terrible!”

As usual, Mr. Waters, you are correct. 😂

Excellent evening of laughs and admiration (plus a bonus David Lynch story)

Thank you, amazing folks at @studiotwothree for making this evening possible! 🖤🦩🎥 #JohnWaters #RVA by @aine.norris
