🚨 WHO LET 28 PRISON OFFICERS THINK THIS WAS A GOOD IDEA?! 🚨😂

Apparently working together wasn’t enough…..So on the 2nd October around 28 of us from Mountjoy Prison have decided to voluntarily give up sleep, destroy our legs and seriously test our friendships by taking on the

💙🩵 DAVID GOGGINS 4x4x48 CHALLENGE 🩵💙

🏃‍♀️ 4 MILES
⏰ EVERY 4 HOURS
😵‍💫 FOR 48 HOURS

Starting at 8:30am from Mountjoy Prison, all in aid of CRY Ireland ❤️

That means running at all hours of the day and night for TWO DAYS STRAIGHT.

What could possibly go wrong?! 👀😂

We’re expecting plenty of craic, VERY little sleep, dangerous amounts of caffeine, legs that stop cooperating somewhere around hour 24 & approximately 28 people questioning every decision that led them to this point 😂🫠

Physically it’s going to hurt, but mentally this is going to be a whole different ball game — getting back up every four hours, getting the runners back on and heading out again regardless of how tired, sore or delirious we are.

But sure we wouldn’t be us if we didn’t turn a good cause into some form of organised suffering 😂💀

Most importantly, we’re doing it for @cryireland 💙🩵

❤️ Every donation, no matter how big or small, genuinely makes a difference and would be hugely appreciated.

👇 DONATE HERE:
https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/ipsmountjoyofficers

I’ve also added the QR code for anyone who wants to donate or share. 🙏

Donate, share, come out & cheer us on or just send thoughts and prayers for when that 4:30am alarm hits 👀😂

Now here’s to surviving the 48 hours and hopefully still speaking to each other by the end of it 😂😂

4 MILES • EVERY 4 HOURS • 48 HOURS
💙 28 PEOPLE • ONE VERY QUESTIONABLE IDEA • ONE AMAZING CAUSE 💙

Delayed flights, an unexpected extra day in the sun, and the two of us coming home sick…..but honestly, would it even be a holiday with us if it didn’t end like that? 🤣

The best few days away with even better company 🤩☀️🥂

Right… who’s booking the next one? ☀️✈️

Another 365 days older but definitely not wiser 🤣

A few days full of cake, chaos, laughs, and just enough drinks to keep things interesting 🥂

Grateful for all my favourite people who helped celebrate and help make memories along the way.

Here’s to another trip around the sun…..same me, just slightly older and with better stories ☀️

“A very special morning at Crookstown N.S. honouring Barry, an amazing husband, dad & Granddad on Grandparents’ Day. A plaque and cherry blossom tree were unveiled in recognition of his dedication to the school and local community. We are so grateful to Seán, Rosie and the organising committee for making this beautiful tribute possible.” 🌸
