It’s been 3 years.
3 years since I lost the sweetest love I’ve ever known.
3 years of learning how to find joy in all the little moments again and learning that grief and joy can coexist.
The greatest gift any of us will ever receive in this life is love. I have tried to take the love that Evan and I shared and spread it into the world, living for the both of us.
“The greatest thing I have ever done in my life was walk with you until I couldn’t anymore.” This quote has meant so much to me since losing Evan. Sharing my life with Evan until the end of his was such a blessing, his love changed me forever.
Evan taught me so much. He did everything with so much kindness in his heart and lived everyday to the fullest. Most importantly, he taught me to love so deeply. This life is so temporary, love louder and laugh more. Never take your people for granted, you never know when your last moment with them will be. I’m forever grateful for the people in my life who lift me up everyday, these people deserve everything good this life has to offer.
So to the boy who found a friend in everyone and always smiled at strangers, I miss you more than you could ever know. I know you are watching over all of us and we are so grateful for you, your life and your love. 🤎👼🏼 #livelikeevan by @ainsleyrutledge
