Slightly late to the party on this one! 💤
We had the privilege of having a go at a remix for one of the tracks from the fantastic @juicychewlie’s album Creature courtesy of @yukuwax - it’s been a journey putting it together.

Big love to Julie for having the faith and Jef/Ilda for the vision and inclusion, it’s been a treat as always. Out now accompanied by a host of heavy weight remixes via YUKU x

@air__johnson recently remixed Die Berge, Sie Schweigen from @juicychewlie in a way that only they could… this is what they had to say about it:

“We set out to scratch a certain itch which had existed for a while. We heard the tune again and realised immediately that by the variety of suggestive elements and amazing vocal/cinematic components, it could maybe translate to a myriad of experimentation and interesting ideas but we had a job on our hands to balance doing the original justice and not straying too far. It’s called the sunder mix because as we were making it, it was unravelling itself. It feels like it’s continually splitting apart, shedding layers - an ode to the original. Big love to Julie for the opportunity to have a go at interpreting the original idea and for the faith. It’s been a process of growth finishing the remix.”

Our track Mastema is out today on the amazing @opentapes label.

Big love to all the people involved and to label boss Jack for asking us to get involved. There’s some great music on the compilation - go and check it out.

All proceeds are going to the @thewellspring_stockport a charity supporting and providing resources to the people of Stockport that are homeless or at risk of losing their home. It’s a cause close to home.

Give generously if you can x

Glory Days are here.

It’s a story of change, childhood and journeys. This record has been a long time coming and really marks a new chapter for us. We set about in 2021 putting together an EP of entirely new music for the first time since 2013. The record is a split EP which tells a bit of a story or two halves, a view of the past and a look towards the future. It was put together with a purpose and it’s been our mini soundtrack to life for the last year on and off which was part of the intention for it.

The title track encompasses the feeling and concept of the record pretty well.. Thinking back to those days of misspent youth, the sun coming up at 5am sat on a cliff face, staring down into a quarry full of people off their rodger on god knows what at an illegal rave - it’s that feeling. Those days when you’d get home from school and stare out of the window at the drizzle, eating a tea cake and feeling glad to be dry.. also that feeling. The days you spent before you had responsibilities or any clue what you were doing in life.. that feeling. It’s designed to be playful intent with a side of familiarity.

Rather than putting together a series of chuggers which delivered on a dance floor, we really wanted to deliver something with dancefloor sonics that could be listened to in any environment, hopefully any mood.

Every release for us is special but this one feels special in a different way. We’d like to think this record is more for everyone rather than a select few who know. Big thanks to anyone that’s been part of the process, from friends encouraging you to do something with the music to those listening. Big thanks to the innovators at @yukuwax for the freedom and those supporting early @noisia_official / @mumdance / @azu.tiwaline

The digital release is out today via @yukuwax with pre-sale of physical copies also live now on the bandcamp. The physical copies are expected to land in May.

We hope you enjoy it.

Also huge shout to the talented people at @dsplaced on the artwork, more to come 👀

PS big shout to anyone with a makeshift setup and a half idea - slide three for context / general dicking about by @air__johnson
