On Sunday, August 23rd, our sweet baby boy, Ice, left this world, and our hearts have been completely shattered. Our home feels different. Quieter. Emptier. Like a huge piece of our love is missing. We are still learning how to navigate a life that no longer has our Icey in it, and honestly, we don’t know how to do it yet.

Ice came into our lives 8 years ago, long before Texas, before we were married, and even before we were engaged. He was there through so many seasons of our lives, loving us through every change, every high, every low, and everything in between. He wasn’t just our dog, he was our family, our baby and one of the greatest loves we’ve ever known.

At first glance, Ice seemed intimidating, or even scary for some. But anyone who had the privilege of truly knowing him knew that behind that big presence was the sweetest, gentlest, kindest soul. Ice loved deeply and unconditionally. He had a way of making you feel safe, loved, and at home just by being there. He filled our days with happiness, comfort, and so much joy.

He loved his naps and head rubs. He loved his treats (especially peanut butter). He loved his mom and brothers ,even his annoying little brother Blaze lol (who was actually his best friend) And most of all, he loved his dad.

Thank you, Ice, for 8 beautiful years of love. Thank you for growing with us, protecting us, comforting us, making us laugh, and giving us a kind of love that we will carry for the rest of our lives. We would choose you in every lifetime, and we are so incredibly grateful that God chose us to be your family.

We know that heaven has one of the goodest boys now. We know you’re running free, rolling around, taking the best naps, getting all the treats your heart desires, and finally being completely at peace.

Our boy. Our Icey. Our fur-ever baby. We will love you for the rest of our lives, and we will miss you every single day. Thank you for being ours.

And this Christmas WILL BE a very special Christmas for us indeed. This year we share the privilege of spending the holidays as a family for the very first time.

We have been blessed with the biggest gift of them all, our 6 month old baby boy, who deserves the world! We pray that your first Christmas is beautiful, blessed, and just as wonderful as you are.

Six months ago, on June 22, 2025 God entrusted us with the most precious gift, our beautiful baby boy. The moment we heard your first cry, we experienced something so holy it felt like the closest glimpse of heaven on earth.

Watching you grow these past six months has been the greatest joy and blessing of our lives. Every smile, every milestone, every moment with you reminds us of God’s goodness and faithfulness. We are so excited to watch you grow from our sweet baby into a boy, and one day into the man God has called you to be.
