Birth of a Dragon!
🥚Where the creatures come out to rejoice in the first hatch in many years. There the little dragon is met with a circle of strange faces and colors, when it has only seen darkness and red <3 🥚

I had the opportunity and great pleasure to draw the internal illustrations for Field Guide for the Formerly Villainous by @mk_england ! Here is the title page, represented by the three critters that do indeed appear again to show the passage of seasons (will show that art on a later post👀 Or just rush to your local bookstore and find it👀).
Originally the title page was going to be made using elements of the chapter header art, but I’m so glad that I was able to help propose something custom. Had a wonderful time just focusing on line art and I hope to have more page art opportunities in the future :0).

Work in progress! I am getting back into the groove of things and I’m hoping to start a personal piece that I don’t abandon mid way. Feeling like I wanna push my lineart habits to a different level. Been thinking of illustrating stuff from my fav books and so there’s nothing better than to start with some Narcissus n Goldmund. 🌾Artfight so far: Usually I go all out for this month but I guess I’m getting busier and busier as my career develops. I’m glad I managed to do three! Did not have a lot of energy in me this month. I’ve been handling a huge art block and I’m hoping to feel inspired after this. I think I can feel it happening already

(WIP) Palio di Siena 🏁🏁🏰 : Progress of a little piece I’m doing for fun! Page boys and marching drummers. They’re preparing for a biggg medieval parade. Sometimes the vision of an art piece slightly changes, you supremely dislike what you made, and you just have to start tf over and try again. I wanted to get back into doing heavy lineart, relying on marks to suggest dimensions and shadow… I wanted to lean into that rather than drawing lines for the purpose of color rendering, which I initially planned. After making the pivot, I started enjoying the process.

BLUE HARPY PAPER ORNAMENT🪶: she has adjustable/movable wing to position however you wish! [Available in my store - Link in bio]
Each piece is individually hand cut & hole punched (I do not have a cricut… help). I based her design loosely off the Luzon bleeding-heart dove and a previous harpy illustration I’ve done ages ago. I’ve been selling this in person for the most part and had only decided to upload it to etsy recently. While etsy is certainly not my biggest earner (iykyk) but I still enjoy offering items to people beyond my local area! While I’m busy trying to juggle my various jobs, here’s a little mythological birdy to keep you company.

The Red Carousel Comes to Life 🎪🎪: Based off the house on the rock carousel! This is a dumb mash of my brain wanting to draw a ton of different elements together for the sake of it. Ash, give me an Edwardian woman, with a satyr on a dragon, a lion and a unicorn, a hare, a cat, and dancing grasshoppers. Who needs AI when I exist. (This also took so long to post. This was kinda hellish to finish)
