Looking back at the Swiss Performance Art Award 2025:

Basile Dinbergs with the performance «LOG-III»

LOG-III is an ongoing performative project that unfolds as a speculative fiction where utopia and dystopia contaminate each other. Set in the ruins of the Logitech headquarters, now seen as a sacred site, the performance follows a small community that reinterprets the remnants of human civilization through ritual, repair, and imagination. Guided by an oracle, they reinvent social roles embodied by costumes—each transforming waste and digital relics into forms of currency, music, and myth. Mixing Vaudois informatics with pagan ceremony, LOG-III explores an archaeology of technology and the future of coexistence. Its origins also trace back to the Dinbergs’ own family history: Dinbergs’ great-uncle co-invented the first optical computer mouse, the Logitech P-4.

The Swiss Performance Art Award 2025 took place at Kunstmuseum Basel on Saturday, November 15th 2025. It was hosted by @kunstkreditbaselstadt / @kulturbasel in collaboration with @kunstmuseumbasel.

Introducing: Basile Dinbergs

Narrative lies at the heart of Basile Dinbergs’ (@airness.finesse) practice. It underpins the creation of objects, installations, and performances that may stand alone but often interlace. Performances activate installations; objects become props. Characters and costumes accompany the artist from one work to the next, gradually unfolding into a kind of saga. This approach stems from a desire to open space for anecdote and laissez-faire – for the invisible detail and all that is usually deemed worthless.

For this year’s Performance Art Award, Basile Dinbergs will present the performance “LOG-III”.

L'ennui (performance, 2024, 45´)

@fmac.geneve, dans le cadre du finissage de "stretching", une proposition de @isaline_vuille & @au_lovee. Merci à Elleux pour l'invitation 🙏!

Une petite narration autobiographique où il à été question des offspaces genevois d'il y a 10 ans, de zonage sur les bancs, de verveine, de vivre dans une église, de conciergerie et du passé qui s'effrite et de l'importance ou non de s'en rappeller.

Merci à tout le monde d'être venu partager les dernière feuilles de la verveine du temple de St. Jean avec moi!
