I’m 23 and embarrassed to admit that…

1. I’m still figuring out what I actually want my life to look like. I have plans, but half the time I’m just hoping I’m making the right decisions.
2. I work way too much sometimes. I’ll convince myself I’m being ambitious when really… I just don’t know how to slow down.
3. I disappear when I’m overwhelmed. It’s not that I don’t love my friends. Sometimes I just don’t have the energy to explain what’s going on with me.
4. I compare my life to people my age constantly. Someone is graduating, getting married, buying a house, traveling… and suddenly I feel behind.
5. I feel guilty when I’m resting. Like if I’m not working toward something, I’m wasting time.
6. I overthink EVERYTHING. A conversation from three days ago? Yeah, I’m probably still analyzing it.
7. I’m way harder on myself than I am on everyone else.
8. Some days I’m extremely confident… and other days I question literally everything about myself.
9. I don’t always feel like talking. Sometimes I love everyone around me, I’m just mentally exhausted.
10. I’m learning that not everyone is supposed to come with me into my next chapter. And honestly, that one hurts.
11. I thought I’d have life figured out by 23. Turns out, absolutely nobody knows what they’re doing. 😂
12. I’m scared of wasting my 20s. I want to experience everything, but sometimes I’m so focused on my future that I forget to actually enjoy my present.
13. I feel guilty for choosing myself sometimes. Even when I know I’m doing what’s best for me.
14. I doubt myself more than people realize. I can look completely confident while internally asking myself, “Am I actually doing this right?”
15. I’m genuinely just winging it. I have goals, dreams, and a plan… but I’m still figuring out the person I’m becoming.

And maybe that’s okay.

We’re all figuring it out🫶🏿

POV: You stop hiding the face you spent years being afraid people would judge. 🥹🤍

Bell’s palsy didn’t take my beauty. It just taught me to see it differently.

And today… I’m walking like I KNOW I’m beautiful. 💋✨

Consistency wins. Discipline pays. Dreams happen

On December 19, I graduated from Morgan State University
I stayed consistent, handled what needed to be handled, and got it done. This chapter took discipline, sacrifice, and belief in myself even on days it felt heavy. I’m proud of the growth, the resilience, and the woman I became through it all.
