Birth happens.
Not just of flesh—but of authority, presence, and self.
This is how power enters the world..

A Judgement Day — filled with dance, gratitude, friendship, and nostalgia. ✨

It was truly a blessing and an honour to be a part of the judging panel for the Bharatanatyam section at this beautiful classical dance competition organised by DIAC’s Aradhyam Quest 2026 at Bardhaman municipal corporation school.

My heartfelt gratitude to Pooulami Mukherjee Di for organising such a beautifully curated competition and creating such a wonderful platform for young dancers. A very special thank you to Dr-Farjana Yasmin for nominating my name as a judge and giving me this opportunity. ❤️

And perhaps the most beautiful part of the day was being together with my three friends after such a long time. Four friends, one day, countless conversations, laughter, old memories, nostalgia, and a few new memories to take home. Some days are simply meant to be cherished.

Feeling truly blessed, grateful, and happy to have experienced a day where dance brought us together and friendship made it even more memorable. 🌸

Happy Birthday to someone who has always been one of my constants. ❤️

This year has been incredibly difficult for you, and I know there are some absences that words can never fill. But today, I just want to remind you of how loved, valued, and deeply cherished you are.

You are someone I can always count on, and I hope you know that you can count on me too — through the good days, the difficult ones, and everything in between.

May this new year of your life bring you strength, peace, healing, and many reasons to smile again. You deserve all the beautiful things life has to offer.

Happy Birthday, my dear. 🤍✨
I’m always here for you. @sudeshna_ghuti by @aishaadance

Yesterday, I had the privilege of witnessing a beautiful dance festival at Gyan Manch, Kolkata — Prerona Festival, organised by Malashree my very, very close senior dancer, Arpita Venkatesh and Sampita Chatterjee.

Amidst all the beauty of dance, I witnessed something that left me deeply uncomfortable.

A well-known dancer unexpectedly arrived at the venue, apparently by mistake, as she was actually supposed to be at another auditorium. During the felicitation, her name was naturally not announced immediately, as the organisers were trying to understand the situation and proceed accordingly.

But instead of allowing the organisers a moment to handle an unexpected situation, what followed was a public display of impatience and displeasure — questioning why her name had not been called and expressing frustration while everyone was already trying to manage the situation.

It made me wonder — what truly makes an artist “big”?

Recognition, fame and reputation can take us to a stage, but humility, grace, patience and respect for fellow artists and organisers are what make us worthy of being on that stage.

Artists, especially those who have earned a certain stature, carry a responsibility towards the artistic community. No stage is above another artist, and no felicitation is more important than basic human courtesy.

Yesterday reminded me that being a great dancer and being a great artist are not always the same thing.

I choose to remember the festival for the beauty, dedication and warmth with which it was created — and for the many artists who stood there with humility and grace. ❤️ by @aishaadance

A new beginning, in a place that holds seven years of memories. 🤍✨

Today’s Teacher’s Day celebration felt extra special. For the past seven years, I have been teaching at this very place, but this year everything feels beautifully different — a new venue, new faces, new energy, and a new chapter as I begin working independently with Samar School of Dance & Art.

Some beautiful people from the old journey are still beside me, while many new ones have joined in and brought their own colours to this new beginning. And somehow, the vibes feel happier, brighter and more vibrant than ever. 🌸✨

Today, amidst the cake, laughter and celebrations, I found myself feeling deeply grateful.

Change is not always about leaving something behind; sometimes, it is about creating space for something more beautiful.

Grateful to the Universe for this new chapter, for everyone who stayed, everyone who joined, and for this beautiful journey that continues. ❤️

Happy Teacher’s Day! 🎂✨ by @aishaadance
