This styled shoot has been living rent-free in my head since the moment we wrapped, and I have been waiting weeks to finally share it.

We built an entire vision from scratch, pulled together some of my favorite vendors in the industry, and let the creativity run completely wild. No client brief, no restrictions, just an idea we got to chase all the way through, from the first spark to the final detail.

An overdue introduction!

No matter if you’re lurking 👀, are a current or past client (hi besties! I miss y’all!), one of my friends, or a vendor down the street, I wanted to give an official ‘hello’.

I’ve been called an “alternative” wedding planner a few times now, and honestly, I’m here for it. I meet you exactly where you are, want to protect your sanity, and will probably exclaim, “No way!” when you ask me if something is a weird idea. Why should you feel cornered into a wedding that doesn’t feel authentic? Or fun!? Or isn’t as unique as you two are?

After all, 50 years from now, only you and your partner will remember your wedding. Why not make it one you’ll really love?

My job starts long before the wedding day begins, often before a date has even been set. It’s weeks and months of planning to get every detail correct. It’s the day-of work to ensure setup is how we envisioned, and likely putting out a couple of fires along the way. It’s seeing the vision come to life and knowing that this is the day you’ll remember for the rest of your lives.

What’s scarier than a Halloween wedding? Realizing too late that you crafted your whole wedding day around other peoples’ expectations or an arbitrary vision of what the perfect wedding “”should”” look like. Here’s the truth: the people who support you want you to be happy. If that means a uniquely themed wedding, skipping the ceremony and eloping, or wearing a black dress, I’m here to make those dreams come true.

The best weddings feel like a day crafted around the couple, and this was one of those. Lizzy & Vance had a day that truly felt like them: a morning on the golf course, cocktails named after their dogs, matchboxes with their baby pics... the list goes on. This was a celebration of two people and everything that makes them unique.

It's also a great example that your wedding can look however you want it to. Traditional church ceremony? Check. Quiet moments together throughout the day? Check. Fun details in every corner? Check, check, check.

Weddings can feel stressful for a lot of reasons, but one that I hear frequently is about the guests. Will everyone feel comfortable? Will my grandparents hate my music choice? How do I make sure everyone is having a good time?
