Jesus completely changed my life

I grew up knowing Him

Trusting in Him

Seeing His miracles in my family's lives

I took it so for granted

I thought everyone experienced that

I prayed many prayers and they were answered

And they weren't answered because I was special, rather they were answered because of my complete faith in God when I was young

I had no reasons to doubt; His existence was clear to me

I then moved to back Georgia one day which I had prayed for

So many people didn't believe

They told me about their lives and I was so heartbroken for them

I couldn't relate and I wanted to so I could understand their situations better

All I wanted was to share this truth of how amazing life with Jesus was

Most didn't want to hear it
I became disappointed and discouraged

7th grade I prayed that God would use me in big ways for His kingdom

It's all I had wanted since I was young
Then in 8th grade I understood something

I needed to suffer and experience pain to help others

So I asked for God to give me pain and suffering so that I could help others, and boy did it come

I became depressed and anxious

Then I became sick and afraid

I stopped believing in God, and I forgot that prayer I had prayed

How could a good God allow such horrible things into my life

I ran from Him. I researched Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Witchcraft, atheism, nihilism, and any other type of philosophy that could disprove God

I couldn't find anything, so I gave up and wanted to be here no longer

I one day on a retreat heard God calling me to talk to Him

It's hard to explain, but I felt like I needed to talk to Him

I walked into a semi-empty field and looked up, and what I saw I can't explain to this day

He showed me "His face" which I can't describe as something physical

It was a feeling of overwhelming divine presence and He clearly spoke to me that I had been selfish and had asked for the things in my life

I rededicated my life to Jesus, this evidence was now undeniable

I was either insane or Jesus was the truth, and from the answered prayers and miracles I believe with all of myself it is the later

I recently deleted instagram, and only sparsely check my dms

You are more likely than not addicted to scrolling

I was, and still am, addicted

You've heard it time and time again

but it really is so serious

if you don't take it seriously, it will continue to control

Most days the first thing i'd wake up and do was scroll

Id find myself get lost scrolling for hours when I had nothing to do

Instead of spending time with God, or at least doing something productive, all that time was wasted

Try to remember what reel you watched 10 scrolls ago

I guarantee you, you can't

Friends we all are worshiping something; which is the thing that has the most weight on your heart

I'm not telling you what to do, i'm just warning you

Don't submit to social media, submit unto God
