Re-Route [3]

Reminiscent of the shifts occurring in the neighborhoods of my childhood. Tar covering cracks in the road are a representation of making an attempt to cover something that seems imperfect, but never really hiding the fact that it was there before, or healing the issues there in the first place. This act of showing off the existence of "imperfection", and the fact that it's been covered with something toxic, is political in its image; promoting change and covering up under the guise of re-construction. Using this image to create a map of a small part of the neighborhood I grew up in, I compare the situations. by @aja.eclipse
