I’ve been going back and forth about whether or not to post anything about the passing of my father. Yet, here I am. I am deeply and unexplainably filled with many emotions. There are tons of things I wish I could’ve said while he was alive. Many things, I didn’t have the courage or wherewithal to utter but needed to say. I always assumed/thought I’d have more time. That, perhaps is the biggest misconception of my lifetime. Act now, love now, live now, forgive now, apologize now. Tomorrow is not promised. My Father suffered a heart attack 01.18.2021 stemming from complications of COVID. He passed almost immediately. I have very few words these days. So I’ll say this, he was my father, and I his only child. I loved him beyond comprehension, and he will be missed more than infinitely. Thank you in advance for your prayers, thoughts, and well wishes. I am more grateful than many of you will ever know. Please forgive me in advance for the slow responses, and thank you for respecting the privacy of myself and my family.

What I’m learning about myself, is that I thrive when I’m in a space to give. Give my time, my energy, my gift, or anything that enables me to be a vessel, is when I’m at my peak.

My highest form is when I’m giving. Period.

I’m just going to ride this thing out until I’m empty.

Honestly is there anything else that needs to be said?!

Can we NORMALIZE making mistakes and growing through them?! PLEASE!

At what point, did we decide as a people that what one does determines their ENTIRE worth? Who came up with that?!

Like sis, give yourself the opportunity to mess all that ish up, learn from it, and move forward. Worry not about others opinion but only about how you feel about yourself! Love yourself through it.

Sometimes we mess up so bad, love literally is the only thing that will bring us through it. Self care, serenity, and one on one time with yourself.

Cancel culture is so intimidating that it leaves no space for feeling human after a mistake is made. We start to feel broken, weak, or unworthy after we make a mistake. Quite frankly it’s just not fair.

We aren’t emotional robots.

Sometimes I mess up on purpose, some of my most beautiful experiences happen during an intentional mistake.

Normalize loving yourself unconditionally.
