For me, interior design is an expression of self, and each room allows for me to share a piece of me. Like people, these spaces convey the complexities of our many selves.

This is why I’m loving this journey; sharing myself, bit by bit with each room I reveal. Right now, this room is at the state that I like to call “canvas state.” Its foundation is ready, just waiting for me to add the pieces that help to further tell my story and bring it all together. The pieces I’ve collected over the years and tell a bit more of my story.

Unpopular opinion: faux greenery can look just as beautiful as the real thing. 🌿

The secret is finding branches with natural movement, realistic foliage, and just the right amount of imperfection. These have all three, and I’m convinced they’re some of the most realistic faux branches I’ve ever found.

No watering, no wilting, just beautiful greenery year-round. 🤎

#OlayPartner Sometimes the beauty is already there, you just have to reveal it. ✨

It’s one of my favorite things about DIY. Taking something with good bones, giving it a little care, and watching what was always there come back to life. So I decided to bring that same philosophy to my skincare.

I spent 10 days incorporating @Olay Retinol 24 into my nighttime routine, focusing on the hyperpigmentation and fine lines I’ve been noticing. I love how creamy and luxurious the fragrance-free formula feels and how beautifully it absorbs into my skin.

A little care, a little consistency, and a reminder that sometimes the best transformations aren’t about becoming something new, they’re about revealing what was there all along. 🤎

🍂 How to make faux branches look real 🍂

The trick is to stop treating them like faux stems.

Real branches aren’t perfectly straight, symmetrical or equally full, so before I put mine in a vase, I always manipulate them a little.

Bend the main stem to create a more natural shape, bend the smaller branches in different directions, and remove a few leaves so every section isn’t perfectly full. I also vary the height and direction of each stem instead of arranging them too evenly.

It’s such a small styling detail, but it makes faux fall branches look SO much more natural and gives you that loose, collected arrangement instead of the “straight out of the package” look. https://liketk.it/6oIWh by @ajai_guyot

Can we talk about something? Why does making female friendships as an adult sometimes feel like trying to get invited to a table where everyone already decided who gets a seat? 👀

Since moving to North Carolina, I’ve been thinking a LOT about adult friendships, starting over, finding community, and how cliquey women can sometimes be, even when I don’t think we realize we’re doing it.

So I’m genuinely curious: why do you think women become so cliquey? Is it insecurity? Comfort? Fear of new people? Past experiences? Or do you think we’ve completely misunderstood what’s actually happening?

And if you’ve ever been the “new girl,” did you eventually find your people? I want to hear the good stories too. 🤎

You’re not going to believe this fall tablescape AND my outfit are from Walmart 👀🍂 I wanted my dining room to feel collected, romantic, and timeless for fall, so I leaned into the Modern Heirloom look with floral dinnerware, vintage-inspired silverware and all the little details that make a table feel special.
