I have made this marathon look so fun. Truth is….this one was incredibly challenging. The sun was full sunning the entire 26.2 miles. I was feeling good. I was sticking to my plan and then my plan fell apart. I was “swept” by the half so once that Kia was long gone, I pulled back even more. I wanted to take a left off the course to go back to the hotel so many times because that race broke me. I have never understood what that meant until Sunday. Anyways, I pulled myself together with the help of the other runners around me. I decided to find all the photographers and just have fun at each mile moving forward. My goal was sub 6 but I managed a sub 7 instead 🎉🎉 (for my awesome non running friends - that means I finished just under 7 hours!)

I zoomed through the finish, got my medal and water, hailed a scammy pedicab and had him take me 1.5miles back to my hotel!

I am so grateful to even be able to complete a marathon, but I am even more grateful that I was able to do this on behalf of the @npfcommunity!! Thank you for the opportunity.

Time for redemption? Almost!

Just shootin’ my shot!
I had a nightmare about running the @chimarathon last night. Started out on an inflatable hill, I had no running belt or fuel! I had to slide down an inflatable slide. @bpnsupps was the first “stop” along the route. They gave me boxes of GoGel to carry… somewhere along the run I ended up with a reusable tote bag that I also had to carry. Chicago is supposed to be flat but some how I ended up being at the very end and there were two massive hills…I got lost. Thankfully I woke up….and confirmed the course is flat with no inflatables. Now just need to make sure I show up with my favorite gels! taken in Austin, Texas by @ajchap14

I recently visited the Mob Museum in Vegas… so naturally, I had to bring a little of that energy to my Chicago Marathon fundraiser. 😂
I’m officially 30 days away from running the Chicago Marathon for the National Psoriasis Foundation, and I have $500 left to raise.

So here’s the deal:
