But is the fantasy because it’s set in a world where there’s magic and mythical creatures and meddling ancient beings…

…or because the MMC is emotionally intelligent, borderline obsessed with ending her insecurities, makes her coffee under the stars and worships the ground she walks on (among other things 😏)

It may be a slow burn, but when the tension between them finally melts and cracks…the 🌶️🌶️ is sizzling hot! 🥵

Ngl, one of my favourite favourite things about Zenn & Aly, is the way they’re playful with each other 🫠🫠

They’re naturally serious and over responsible, so this dynamic is new for both of them.

The banter never stops, even when they’re mid fight, they find a way to gently tease 🥰

Have you met Aven already? He's my favourite character from Twisted Roots and Soil by @ajcharley_writes and two of this post's quotes are from him!! Can you find which ones?
Without any surprises, my favourite trope from TRAS might very well be the animal companion one 😍

P.S. Was I successful in convincing you to read TRAS? 👀

Truly can’t decide if this is a trick or treat! Bookish Halloween has me spooked 🕸️👻

She finally decides to take a risk and leave her sheltered little life, only to find somewhere she belongs with someone she can’t really have?? 🥺

You mean to tell me we’re supposed to just accept that they can’t be together?? After THIS?! 🙅🏻‍♀️🙅🏻‍♀️

He can live without his power right? There’s no way he needs it for anything coming for them!

This forbidden love stuff is cruel 🥺

📚 book recommendations 🔥 kindle unlimited romantasy by @ajcharley_writes

This is maybe my favourite preorder incentive ever 😍 What do you mean I get a bonus chapter (and what bonus chapter!!), a personalised message from the character of my choice (so, of course Aven #sassyponyclub) and a word search with a hidden message (not pictured here) ?? 😍

Thank you so much @ajcharley_writes for doing that, for having written one of my favourite bonus chapters ever, and for taking the time to write us all --um sorry, to take dictation from the characters-- personalised messages 🤩

Bonus chapter mini review (yes I highlighted half the chapter): I was laughing out loud (at Zenn) from line one 😂 I missed your writing AJ!! And omg this bonus chapter was amazing!!! It's the chapter I didn't know I needed, I love it so much 😍 (Zenn has it bad for Aly 👀)

And swipe to see my personalised message (the same one I laminated that you can see on slide 1, but bigger and easier to read) to see Aven making fun of me because I was so eager to fill the incentive form that I made a typo in my name 😂

Unfortunately I do love a forbidden romance when one of them is trying to stick to the rules and the other has no intention of doing so.

But which is which, this time? 🫦

Zenn’s expression shifts to heated amusement.
“Go put your things in OUR tent, Aly.”
The air between us charges with anticipatory promise.

📚Twisted Roots & Soil by @ajcharley_writes 🔥 by @ajcharley_writes

Opposites attract or perfect for each other?? 👀

Both are a little too serious, take on too much responsibility and tend to play by the rules…or have until now!

🫦 She “secretly” thinks his arrogance is hot
🤭 He’s more than a little obsessed with her sass

Lets hope their bond is as strong as their coffee ☕️🔥

This moment STILL gives me butterflies every time I read it!! 🥰🦋

Even when being together will incite royal wrath, risk every drop of his power and shake the very foundations of the realms…

…sometimes you just have to say fck it!

Besides, love conquers all in the end, right???
