In my eyes, public safety deserves more than talking points. It requires a plan, clear expectations, accountability — and results.

Last week, I made a promise to my hometown. This was not just a campaign launch. It was the beginning of a new chapter for our city.

For too long, decisions about Trenton have been made without the voices of the people who actually live here, raise their families here, run businesses here, worship here, and dream here.

That changes now.

In this moment, surrounded by the community that raised me, I officially announced that I’m running to serve as Trenton’s 50th Mayor.

The energy in the room was unbelievable. Standing room only. Confetti in the air. A historic moment for our city.

And as Nas and Lauryn Hill reminded us in the background… imagine what we can build if we truly ruled our future together.

This video is just a glimpse of what happened in that room and what’s coming next.

Watch the moment. Tell me what you think. And after you watch, drop a comment and tell me: What is the #1 thing you want to see the next Mayor of Trenton fix first?

Let’s build this vision together.

Great conversations and meaningful discussions about the future of our city today!

I was grateful for the opportunity to participate in the Trenton Mayoral & City Council Forum hosted by the Epsilon Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.

One thing I’ll always appreciate is seeing our community come together, ask tough questions, share concerns, and genuinely engage in conversations about where we go from here.

A special thank you to the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha and Greater Mt Zion AME Church for organizing today’s forum and continuing their longstanding commitment to service, leadership, and civic engagement.

And to everyone who came out, thank you for being part of the conversation. Our city is stronger when we all have a voice, and I look forward to keeping these conversations going!

I’m incredibly grateful to for the kind words, encouragement, and endorsement.

It means a lot to have the support of someone who genuinely cares about the people of Trenton and the future of our community.

For me, this journey has always been about people, relationships, and a shared love for the city we call home. Knowing that others believe in that same vision makes it even more meaningful.

Thank you, Pastor Green, for believing in me and for standing with me. Your support means more than you know!

Great conversations and even better company at North 25 Apartments!

I always enjoy the opportunity to sit down with our seniors, hear their concerns, share ideas, and talk about the future of our city. There’s so much wisdom and experience in these conversations, and it’s important that their voices continue to be heard.

Thank you to everyone who came out, asked questions, and shared their thoughts. I appreciate the warm welcome and the opportunity to connect!

Protecting our community means more than just talking about safety. It means making sure our neighbors have the knowledge, resources, and support they need to protect themselves and their families.

Trenton is home to people from so many different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. And no matter where you come from, you deserve to feel informed, respected, and supported in the community you call home.

I know that for many immigrant families, navigating life in America can come with questions, uncertainty, and sometimes fear. That’s why creating opportunities to learn about your rights, ask questions, and connect with helpful resources is so important to me.

Tomorrow, Saturday, October 17th, from 2–4 PM, we’re coming together for our Immigrant Know Your Rights Conference.

This is about looking out for one another, sharing knowledge, and making sure nobody feels like they have to figure everything out alone.

📲 RSVP by scanning the QR code on the flyer to receive the zoom call details for tomorrow’s event!

Please share this with a friend, neighbor, or family member who could benefit from this information.

Because a stronger Trenton starts with a community that looks out for each other.

Spent yesterday evening at the NJLCV PAC event!

Always good to catch up with familiar faces, meet new people, and have meaningful conversations about the future of New Jersey.

It was also a great opportunity to connect with others around the issues Austin has been discussing, especially when it comes to our communities and the environment.

Appreciate everyone who helped bring this event together. Always a pleasure to be part of these conversations!

Always good to be in a room full of people who genuinely care about our communities.

I had a great time at the Black Agenda event at the New Jersey State House. Got to see some familiar faces, meet some new ones, and hear some important conversations about the issues affecting our communities.

One thing I always appreciate is the opportunity to listen, learn, and exchange ideas with people who are out here doing the work every day.

Much love to everyone who helped put this event together. Glad I could be part of the conversation!
