Hi, I’m Aji. 👋🏽

If you’re new here, I thought I’d properly introduce myself.

I was born and raised in Fremantle, Western Australia, and last year my husband, our two kids and I packed up our lives and moved to London.

I work part-time in operations, and I genuinely love my job. The people, the flexibility and the environment remind me why good workplaces matter, especially as a mum.

But here’s something I’ve realised

Wanting another income doesn’t mean you’re unhappy where you are.

I started building my online business in May 2025, before we even made the move to the UK. I wasn’t trying to replace my career. I simply wanted more options, more financial breathing room and the ability to contribute to our family’s future while still being present with my children.

Then, two months later, we moved to London.

Suddenly we were raising our kids in a completely different environment. Childcare, logistics and the mental load became even more real, and that decision I’d made months earlier made even more sense.

That’s why you’ll never hear me saying “quit your job.” Because that’s not my story.

My philosophy has always been about creating more breathing room, not replacing something I already enjoy.

Around here you’ll find honest motherhood, curly hair and scalp health, building another income alongside a career, and plenty of real life in between.

I’m so glad you’re here. 💛

Vienna curl prep officially underway 🌀

Wash day, styling products, diffusing… because obviously the curls need to be ready too 😂

Tomorrow I’m heading to Vienna for my first MONATions and the first European MONATions, so I’m going with fresh curls and a LOT of questions.

I’ll be sharing what I learn while I’m there, especially anything useful for my curly girls. 💛

If your hair is growing but never seems to get any longer, it might be worth looking at what’s happening at the ends.

For me, healthy ends are something I’m intentional about maintaining, because keeping the length you’ve already grown matters too.

This is one of the products I use as part of that routine. 💛

Starting from scratch doesn’t mean starting with nothing.

I’ve got the belief, the skills I’m building and a reason to keep going, even if my timeline looks different to someone else’s.

Before buying a whole new routine, I’d look at what happens between wash day and the next morning.

How much hold did you use? Was your hair fully dry before bed? How did you protect it overnight?

These are the first questions I’d ask so we can choose one thing to try. When does your definition disappear: day 1, day 2 or later?
