'Hoping against hope'
When I was on the verge of a victory
I was denied what I deserved;
The person who I trusted the most said 'Nope'
I was devastated and lost hope
I was searching for some purpose to live
I tried to find it here & there, in love, in friends
Something that could pull me out of that mess
Probably a rope!
But again that only rope available was hope!
Yes, if we want something better to happen
We have to bide the worst time
And keep on hoping against hope!

'The light of hope'
I'm cross with my life
By the betrayal of my lover
By treachery of my friends
No one likes me in my office
I'm coping up without any of my offence
But do I have any options left?
Could I still sit idle and keep on crying;
Crying over my ill fortune
Or should I rise up once again to fight
Vow not to dance to others tune?
I don't want to fall down in deep dark abyss

What's the way to success, joy and prosperity?
I earned, I spent, I enjoyed parties
Went on vacations & then lived in austerity
I tried to be smart sometimes
Tried to adopt shortcuts
When things didn't work out then I tried sincerity
But the contentment was a far cry
There wasn't a master key to it
How much hard I might try

Prolonged feels the melancholy in life

They ask us to try and try again
But when losing not winning becomes a habit
Then what's the gain?
When we lose there is no one around;
To understand our pain
