It’s all in the detail 🐴

As you may or may not know, our fabulous founder Mike, started his journey to AJ Joinery through making his sensational horses in the ‘Rocking Horse Shed!’

A truly talented man if you ask us! How incredible do they look?

Sometimes simple is the best way.

Just a beautiful door, natural timber, clean lines. A door that’s been made to fit its home.

Let’s be clear: *WE ARE A SERIOUS JOINERY* and the real joiners are amazing and make very high quality fixtures.

I’m just the social media girl trying to do stuff with the spare wood.

Offcuts don’t have to be wasted! All you need is someone with an idea and more confidence than skill 💁🏼‍♀️ by @ajjoineryltd

One from the archives today…

We made this beautiful four panel door for a Victorian terrace in Bury St Edmunds a few years ago, and we’re still very proud of how it brought this entranceway to life!

A great team makes all the difference.

As a family-run business, we take pride in the skill and craftsmanship that goes into everything we do. Whether it’s a gatepost down the road here in Suffolk, or an orangery half way up the country.

Here is one of our team of skilled joiners hard at work making door frames for a commercial client, which will end up at one of several housing developments we are manufacturing for across the UK. by @ajjoineryltd

This was the first project of We’ve Got Wood back in sunny June.

The original idea was an indoor plug in bollard lamp, but as things developed it became clear that this wanted to be a solar outdoor feature.

It’s currently outside my house - I’m leaving it to see how it fares under the elements! Four months later and it’s still looking good! 🤞🏻 by @ajjoineryltd

We try to make use of as many offcuts as we can.

This sideboard is made of spare glulam from the workshop, burned and varnished and given a new life!

We genuinely hate to see good wood going to waste, so we have a person dedicated to using all the spare odds and ends!

What do you think? Is this a good use of spare wood? 🪵 by @ajjoineryltd

What a weekend!

Thanks so much to @editiondoglive for letting our crazy dream of building a pub for dogs fly! Long live The Sniff Inn!

Bashing out benches like there’s no tomorrow 🙂‍↔️

We’re keen on keeping up with the community here in Cross Green, and just down the road is Cockfield Primary School. Every now and then we slap something together for them, and today it’s a pair of picnic benches 💁🏼‍♀️ by @ajjoineryltd

When skills and a steady hand come together… you can’t argue with the results! by @ajjoineryltd

Louvre doors! You might call them our bread and butter 🍞🧈

Interesting name isn’t it?

These doors get their name from their slanted slats, which was a design used in the Middle Ages for roofs to let smoke out but keep rain off!

Cool huh? 😎 by @ajjoineryltd
