🇨🇩Today, Congo is laying 27 of its children to rest.

They are more than a number. They were children who woke up that morning and went to school. Children who had favorite games, favorite songs, little jokes with their friends. Children who learned, played, laughed, dreamed, and were deeply loved.

They were someone’s daughter. Someone’s son. Someone’s sibling. Someone’s best friend. Someone’s classmate. They had entire lives ahead of them.

On September 10, they lost their lives in a fire at their school. Today, their families are burying their children. We remember each of them as a life, a story, a child who mattered. May they be laid to rest with love and dignity. May their names, their lives, and the joy they brought never be reduced to a number.

🇨🇩Fam, thanks to your generosity, during the 2025–2026 school year, we were able to cover the school fees of more than 2,000 children across three schools in Eastern Congo.

If you would like to continue supporting our mission, you can join our Congo Supporters’ Circle through the link in our bio.

Every contribution helps us provide children with access to education and brings us one step closer to our next goal: rebuilding the three schools we support.

From all the children and the teaching staff, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. None of this would be possible without you.

🇨🇩CONGO MONTH | LIVE TODAY

We are delighted to welcome Rams Kiriza @ramskiriza, humanitarian worker with AJPC @ajpcrdc, for today’s conversation as part of the 3rd edition of 30 Days for Congo and our Voices for Justice series.

🗓 June 22, 2026
🕖 7 PM CET
📍 Live on Instagram
🇫🇷 This conversation will be held in French
🎙️ Host: @bazelimbo

Topic: Humanitarian Actions Review

For nearly three years, Team Congo and AJPC have worked hand in hand to support communities affected by war, displacement and humanitarian crises in Eastern Congo.

Together, we have implemented initiatives such as Together for Congo @togetherforcongo.rdc, Back to Education @backtoeducation.rdc, and Hope & Healing @hopehealing.rdc, reaching thousands of people through humanitarian assistance, education and psychosocial support.

During this conversation, we will look back on the impact of these programs, the lessons learned along the way, and the urgent needs that remain on the ground.

We will also discuss our current campaign to support women and girls who have survived sexual violence, including access to medical care, psychosocial support and life-saving PEP kits.

Join us for this important conversation as we reflect on what has been accomplished, the challenges that remain, and the hope that continues to drive humanitarian action in Congo.

🇨🇩 Fam, thanks to you, we have successfully completed our second Ebola prevention mission at the second school we support in Sake, eastern Congo.
We were able to visit the children at their school and provide essential kits to help protect them from the spread of the Ebola outbreak affecting the region.
Thanks to your support, we also extended our assistance beyond the school by providing clean drinking water to families and communities living nearby.

We are deeply grateful.

We now have one final school left to support, and we are counting on you to help us reach it.
Please continue sharing our Emergency Ebola Appeal and supporting this life-saving work.

Everything we have been able to accomplish so far has been possible because of you.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Fam, our second Ebola prevention mission is complete.

After Goma, our team traveled to the second school we support in Sake, where, alongside healthcare professionals, we trained children on essential Ebola prevention measures and distributed masks, soap, clean water, and hygiene supplies.

Thank you to everyone supporting and sharing our Ebola Emergency Appeal. Because of you, we are helping protect children and communities in Eastern Congo.

One more school to go. Together, we can make it happen.
