1 Year…

My house burned down one year ago today. I almost died. Seeing flames all around, I can still hear my screams and remember falling to my knees.

However, losing everything was a lesson I had to see… a lesson I had to learn. And now, I understand.

This morning, I woke up with a toothbrush, a bed, running water, and a full set of clothes to put on. I’m thankful to still be alive and blessed with the chance to do something I LOVE.

The fire taught me to live a little more, chase the crazy dream, take risks, do the hard things, and have those uncomfortable conversations.

The fire broke me, but it also made me everything I am today.

John 13:7. My favorite Bible verse. It’s what I live by, and I know that’s the season I’m in right now. One day, I’ll fully understand.

So many tears, so many laughs, so many people in and out… but I’m making myself proud.

I’m proud of my testimony. I’m proud of my story.

And to me the one person who had to go through it all alone and still found a way to make something out of nothing I’m proud of you.

Happy to be alive. PROUD of my growth and everything I’m still striving for. 🚒🤍
