In all seriousness, this is the real post. The ditto one was to make me laugh as Madison fumed over the lack of effort. What can I say, I got a sense of humor.

Today marks 3, yes 3 years of us being together. Tumultuous, glorious, effervescent, rigorous, ornate from start to present. We've overcome obstacles put in our way and put obstacles in our way to overcome. Yes, we do butt heads sometimes, but it's never things we can't work through.

Madison, you are gorgeous, attitudinal, eager, smart and inspiring. We've laid a foundation for the future, yet we have so much more work to do. There is no one I'd rather do it with. We have grown together, expanding our horizons, learning both professionally and personally. There have been so many lessons in the past 3 years, I couldn't write them all down. Those lessons have forged our trust and nurtured the bond we share.

I love you for that. For you. For us.

Pine State Classic 2026 post 2!

Pine state classic 2026, 2nd overall in the open big boy class. Had all the fun, with milady @madison_andrews_ and baby in attendance. Big tone showing up. Performing far better in events I didn't think I'd even be able to manage.

-Hit the 260 on log opener, but missed 280.
-Rocked 20 reps on the car deadlift.
-Got all sandbags, including the 300lber in 36 seconds
-Had a bad Conan's wheel showing, but I understand it now.
-Handled the farmers carry to husafel fairly well.

2nd overall in a weight class above my own, which I weighed 20lb less than the max, is a massive win for me.

Big shouts to all of the staff, volunteers, and competitors for putting on a hell of a show. And a hug shout-out to @brawny.johnny for putting on a killer comp. Everything was smooth, operating like a well oiled machine. He also has a great beard. I'll be looking forward to another meet with your name on it, brotha!!

Lifetime goal complete; I officially benched 405!! There are 2 goals for 2026, and this is the one I was least confident in. My programming was working from start to finish. I felt so good week in and week out with the development of my presses, that I (for other reasons too) decided to shoot for 400 a little early.

I owe magnanimous amounts of gratitude to the crew who came by to help me out, support me, even go so far as to buy smelling salts and wear jorts a day early(Pat).

This group of people, this culture we have made @jackedjilled is astonishing. The gym is fortunate to have the most amazing people train, day in and day out, to make a culture for everyone. We have something really special here. The team, the members, the equipment. Absolutely incredible all around. I'm beyond just appreciation for everyone who's there to support each other, the community, and myself. Big shouts to all of you!

The boys went to a sauna the other day....

Coffee and second breakfast at elevenses, the single most obnoxious lunch at the Indian restaurant next door and a stogie to top it off.

Shout-out @pitbull9oo for coming up and deadlifting. Lots of motivation felt today. Deadlifts felt smooth at 585. Let's keep climbing.

Happy 250th Birthday, Marines. I may reuse the same pictures over and over; They are some of my favorites that I get to look back on. We are America's finest fighting force, and these pictures do nothing less than prove that. Zero doubt. Nothing here suggests otherwise.

It's been nearly a week, but I'm still proud of the youngins. They met a buzzsaw in the championship, yet managed to make it a game by the end. Leo got a taste of team contact sports. He had some gnarly blocks throughout the season, being a major part of a regular season undefeated team whose only loss was in the chip. I'd say that's a successful season.

On this day, he felt pride. Proud of the man he is. Proud of the work he does. This pride is not just my own. It is his, ours and theirs. A pride not of selfishness, but of love. Love for the man you choose to be. Love for the family we keep.
