In stillness, still building. 💗

Went to CultureCon to learn, connect, have some fun 😂 and pour a little more into this dream of mine.

Building Ms. Zita’s Classroom has stretched me, challenged me and pushed me wayyyy outside of my comfort zone…but being in rooms like this reminds me why I keep going.

There’s still so much I want to learn and so much I want to build.

But for now… I’m just really proud that I started. 🥹

My goal was to donate 25 books… but WE donated 30!!!🥹📚💖

Last month, I set out with a simple goal: to spread a little joy to children at a local shelter through the gift of books.

I shared a post, and some incredibly kind and talented women answered the call. The beautiful part? I’ve never met these women. We didn’t know each other. They simply saw the post, understood how much joy a book can bring to a child, and decided to help. 🥹💗

Because of their generosity, we didn’t just reach our goal of 25 books…we exceeded it and donated 30!👏🏿

And did I mention that ALL of these amazing donors are children’s book authors?! 📚✨ So much talent and heart in one group…and one of our donors is even a 7-year-old author! How incredible is that?! 🥹

To each of these amazing women: THANK YOU for helping Ms. Zita bring a little extra joy to some very deserving little learners. I am so incredibly appreciative of your kindness and generosity. 💖

And thank you to everyone who liked, shared, reposted, or told someone about the book drive. Every share helped spread the word and ultimately helped this post reach the generous hearts who made this possible. 💕

25 was the goal. 30 was the blessing 📚

First day of kindergarten was a SUCCESS! 🥹🎒💗

Our girl was BIG, BRAVE, & STRONG, and we couldn’t be prouder! 🥰

Thank you, God, for such a wonderful start to this new chapter… and for keeping this mama together because whew…the tears were FLOWING! 😭😂 But I made it!

One year ago today, I started Ms. Zita’s Classroom. 🥹💗

I had no idea where this little idea would take me. I just knew that I wanted to create something that helped children learn, feel seen and know just how special they are.

So it feels incredibly fitting that on the one-year anniversary of Ms. Zita’s Classroom and National Book Lovers Day 📚…I get to celebrate by launching something very close to my heart:
25 Books for 25 Little Smarties. 💗

I’ll be donating 25 children’s books to children and families who could use a little extra joy, comfort and encouragement @younitynj

Because Ms. Zita’s Classroom was never meant to be just about videos. I want it to be about making a difference in the lives of little ones on the screen and off.

Here’s to one year of Ms. Zita’s Classroom, 25 books, 25 little readers, and hopefully many more opportunities to give back. 🥹📚💗

One question I get asked a lot is, “How do you find the time for Ms. Zita’s Classroom while working full-time and raising two little ones?”

My answer? My husband. ❤️

What you don’t always see are the behind-the-scenes moments...

Driving across town to find a cupcake with pink frosting because I had a vision. Then driving somewhere else looking for a tiny “1K” candle and topper. Filling in as my videographer at the last minute for my cooking episode. Taking the kids for the day so I can film. Listening to my made-up kids’ songs on repeat until they somehow end up stuck in his head too. 😂

Thank you, babe, for being my biggest supporter, my sounding board, and my rock. None of this would be possible without you.

Every dream needs someone quietly cheering from behind the camera. I’m so grateful mine is you. ❤️
