I made my little brother a handmade present for his birthday figuring it would frustrate him, turns out he liked it so much I believe it went home to become a Art piece on his walls...Well, there's always next year...or Christmas. by @ajzworkz

Helped layout and do some carpeting on the staging, as well as built the piano cover for Olivia Dean's keyboardist @deschanel_g, for her debut appearance on SNL this Saturday. Great job by everyone in the shop that worked on this Set, Scenics, Electrics, Metal shop and Carps @showmanfabricators. Great performance on the show by everyone. by @ajzworkz

Thanks to Christine @beautifuldarknessproductions we scooped up medals of Horror for her short "The Bad Clown" at a new Horror film festival, "Hollow Film Fest" in Booton, NJ, hosted at the @catfightcoffee. My part was to make these interchangeable clown heads. Our hostess for the evening was the daughter of my elementary school math teacher Mr. Celento (sp?), that was a real cool footnote to the night. by @ajzworkz

These days the shop I work in I can't take credit for a lot of what we build because it's shared among so many of us crew or I don't head the project, in this case I can take a little bow. The Basketball hoop was mine to put together with an assist by @hye.hi, the Scenics handled the paint and the Electrics did the LED net. The glowing green wall/DJ platform took a lot of us to build and assemble. The Archery ring and the baseball diamond I got a good chunk of duty to perform on. This was all for the @robinhoodnyc fundraiser. @showfab by @ajzworkz

If you watched Jimmy Fallon on Monday night, you saw Svedliza perform on our Set pieces. This weekend we set it up for rehearsals in a separate location before they were broken back down to be reassembled in the “Late night” studio. by @ajzworkz

Today we were doing some fine, almost furniture like woodworking and it was “Dress like your favorite tool” at work today…apparently. by @ajzworkz

This past summer I had the distinct pleasure of going out and working as construction foreman on a film in Missoula, MT and finally getting to meet the rock steady co-founders, @johndnilles and @richizzle_davenpizzle, of @treasurestatestudios, in person.
Here’s the log cabin, one of two interior Set builds we did. We made “fly-away” walls using flying buttresses to maintain wall integrity, soundproofed the floor system in case any lumber warped once it was in its new environment and then there was the roof of the cabin to create that would allow cables and lights or even camera, to be brought in from above but still be strong and stable enough.
As head-dude, you’ll see I make it a point to test what we build for safety, using myself as the crash-test dummy. I do this with the intention that “I get hurt first”, should something not be right about it. by @ajzworkz
