Welcome to Ariel Kraje’s choreography page!

I am a choreographer, performer, and teaching artist located in the DC, Virginia, and Maryland area. My passion is bringing stories to life through movement. I take pride in my ability to collaborate with all ages and skill levels to enhance the production and advance individual’s artistic journeys by cultivating a safe environment in order to push the limits.

Although my main focus is choreographing for professional theatrical productions, I also have a multitude of experience choreographing for youth theaters, show choirs, operas, weddings, and more!

This choreography reel includes styles of musical theatre, hip hop, tap, ballet/contemporary as well as showcases elements of layers, contagions, lifts, and comedy. I also choreograph for show choirs, operas, weddings, and theatre for all ages.

I’m so honored to have choreographed Workhouse Arts Center’s SpongeBob the Musical 💛 Thank you @official_glou for including me on this stacked creative team and for being such a great friend and collaborator! Thank you @rachelannebradley for always being a bright presence in the room and orchestrating this incredibly diverse soundtrack with limited resources. Thank you cast for being enthusiastic and supporting my efforts to advance my choreography to the next level! I will never stop boasting about how talented and creative this cast is. This production has been such a pleasure to work on. Proud is an understatement!

Ariel Kraje was recently awarded the Rita Adrosko Visiting Artist Endowment at Burgundy Farm Country Day School. She worked with 261 students from Junior Kindergarten to 8th grade, performed at their Earth Day school wide assembly, and helped choreograph the 8th grade’s production of Newsies Jr! She would like to thank Emily “EJ” Jonas, Michael Barranco, and Becca Parsons for their collaboration and support.

The Rita Adrosko Visiting Artist Fund was established to realize a long-held dream of bringing visiting artists to campus each school year, expanding and enriching Burgundy’s arts program. The Rita Adrosko Visiting Artist enhances Burgundy’s core program by bringing in outside artists and art educators to inspire and elevate a particular field of artistic expression. Visiting artists work with a variety of student age groups, from Junior Kindergarten to 8th grade, with our faculty and staff, and also engages with the parent community.

Ariel Kraje is a Helen Hayes-nominated actor, choreographer across the DMV, and teaching artist. PERFORMANCE credits include Olney Theatre Center: Frozen (Ensemble), Senior Class (Swing); Synetic Theater: A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Puck); and Workhouse Art Center: Urinetown (Ensemble) [Helen Hayes Award nomination for Outstanding Ensemble]. CHOREOGRAPHY credits include SpongeBob: the Musical (Workhouse Arts Center) [Helen Hayes Recommended]; The Great Comet of 1812, 9 to 5 (George Mason University); Shrek (McLean Community Players), and 1776 (Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest). She is also currently choreographing for Olney Theater Center’s Summer Stock! EDUCATION: BFA in Theater with a concentration in Musical Theater from George Mason University.
