I’m on an absolute fucking high! I came into this comp completely stressed out. Calling my best friends constantly and they talked me off the ledge multiple times like times.

Kirk sat this one out but I had something to prove and it absolutely paid off! Thank you so much to @nini_b1984 and Adrian who believed in me this comp. Thank you to my sister @princessmattia for the use of her truck and for coming and rocking out. More videos to come!

Dinuba Brew Fest ended yesterday and while we didn’t get the optimal results we were after we did get a call and some great learning experiences.

We entered a whole new realm of competing this year and y’all know we are stubborn af so this won’t be the last you see of AK47 BBQ in the circuit. Here’s our scores overall

27th overall Chicken
26th overall Ribs
9th overall Pork Shoulder-Where we received our call
22nd over Brisket

We placed 26th overall. Again not optimal but we knew where we went wrong on some things.

Congratulations to all the teams who placed and a big congratulations to @oldtownfranklinbbq for Grand Champion and @badbearsbbq for Reserve Grand Champion.

So we will see you all at GrillMasters on the 4/13 and hopefully in Lodi on 26/27 😅

One event we always look forward to is @grillmastersbbq and we knew we were found to have to come correct for this one especially when it came to people’s choice. And it PAID OFF BABY!!! 1st place baby!!

We scored 3rd place in chicken, 11th in ribs for a 3rd place finish overall.

This even will close out our 2023 competition season but we are ending it on a high note. We can’t wait for next year. Stay tuned for the video of the day and the shout of all the people who we can do this without!

Last and final comp of the season.

Man what a whirlwind. Kirk sat it out so me and @elborracho1974 held it down.

We placed 9th overall and got great feedback on the ribs.

Some tweaks can and will be made but yall know we come back better and stronger.

Congratulations to @ajs_smokehousebbq for that 1st place call.

Our friends at @fat_n_happybbq for that 2nd place call and peoples choice. We will be coming for yall in April!
