I haven’t posted on this page since last August, a year literally🥶but hi I’m back👋🏼 this is a piece I’m working on for my best friend. It was supposed to be a birthday gift (her birthday was August 1st) but things went wrong🫠

Anyway I’m very happy with how my first attempt at diy air dry clay came out! Liiiiike omg yall.

#WIP

I decided to make a little series out of my mushroom strippers 🍄✨so here’s the next babe in the lineup.

I’m not gonna yiiiiieeee, I definitely took a break because I was getting so frustrated at how long it was taking for this to look the way I wanted😭

The first mushroom stripper was so quick I was in a flow state and knocked it out in one sitting.

Currently trying to figure out what to do with her outfit. My original idea was like a ruffled pink bra top with some ruffles around the matching bottoms but they started to look dumb😂 so now idkkkk!!! by @aka_creates_

Hey to all 27 of you guyssss😭😭😭
Haven’t been active here for a little bit and I also haven’t been doing too much artsy but here’s a #wip.

I used to make shit out of polymer clay when I was younger and I decided to get some a few weeks ago. I randomly had the idea to make this mushroom ashtray so I just started😭I’ve only ever made small charms so this was my first attempt at a big piece. I plan on making a little fairy to sit under the biggest shroom and to be honest, my first attempt at making a little head was hoooorrible😖 Im gonna give it another try after watching some videos and hopefully it’ll be better.

Working with the clay was a lot of fun at first. After a while I noticed how fatigued I was that things weren’t just being the way I wanted them to be in a timely manner the way it would if I was painting or sketching. I just have to trust the process tho and remember that this is not a medium I’m well versed in!

Sketch progress…✨

I used this NSXSU multicolor pencil for this. I kept seeing them on TikTok for a while and my aunt got me some on Easter. I think I’m starting to really love sketching with them. Something about the color combinations and the checkerboard placement of the colored leads makes it easier to let myself get lost in the process a little.

It’s fun to watch how the colors will manifest on the page and i feel like I don’t look at the “mess ups” like mess ups the same way I do when using graphite or just regular colored pencils.

I had no intention of making this girl a sad clown but the more I sketched the more that’s what I saw 😭

The color combinations themselves are also cool and allow you to focus less on what kind of color palette you want to use and forces you to focus more on HOW you’ll use the color palette given to convey shadows, highlights, depth etc.

Anyway, they’re cool asf.
I think I’ll have to keep a pack of these around.

Part of my reason for creating this page was to allow myself to break out of my fear of actually being perceived as the artist I am. It’s hard to feel like what you create is worth putting out. Especially when you think it will be subject to critique or the complete opposite, no one will care enough to give it a look.

I had a moment of discouragement when I first posted about this page. I felt like no one cared and the views did not add up to the followers I got lol. But I’m working on convincing myself that that’s okay.

I’m gonna be posting a lot of old art work that I did, so here’s a tiny canvas I painted with acrylic back in 2021.

I decided that I wanted to use this character in a series that I’ll be creating. She’s basically an original character who represents a spiritual body. The second slide is another version of her I painted in a sketch book. I really wanna create some lore around her and develop her story/character more and play around with how to execute that visually.

Hey yall! I finally did it😭I made an art page. I’ve been wanting to do this for a long time now. I never felt like it was a justified choice for me, only because my own self doubt and anxiety told me I wasn’t enough of an artist to even have a page. I always hated the idea of using my main page for any of my art so here we are!

This page is more for me than for anyone else (and im sure that’ll be apparent at times) but I hope that when seeing what I post here you, on some level, feel inspired, seen, entertained and whatever other positive words you can think of.

I view all my creative endeavors as pieces of me, reflections even, and can’t wait to start sharing with anyone who feels compelled to stop by!

My eventual goal is not only to showcase and house some of my work, but create a social and virtual space for likeminded individuals who love, create and are art.

And always remember, the easiest way to support an artist you know/like/love is to share comment and like.🫶🏼
