𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘅𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 & 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 @ 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 𝗕𝗮𝗿 - 𝟮𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿

We’re dusting the cobwebs off our records to take over @workshop_bar_melbourne , with a formidable bill to match.

We’re excited to share the sounds we’ve been digging throughout the year alongside three dance heavyweights @qian.18 , @aka_zeb , and @juliusmyles_ , each sporting uniquely impressive resumes spanning Naarm and beyond (swipe for more on them!)
Free entry all night
8pm - 2am
See you there!

𝗔𝗸𝗮𝗻𝗲 (𝟬𝟵:𝟯𝟬-𝟭𝟭:𝟬𝟬)

A discerning ear for deep dance music and drive for connection through music has planted the Osaka-born, Naarm-based Akane firmly into scenes all over the world.

Akane’s distinct and effortlessly flowing methods of threading rhythm and soundscape have landed her on main stages and radio stations alike: boasting collaborations with Seoul Community Radio, Butter Sessions and Harvey Sutherland, to name a few. Akane also lays claim to @bumpintostore : a multi-disciplinary platform that highlights artists, venues, and stories through means of radio and events.

𝗔𝗸𝗮 𝗭𝗲𝗯 (𝟭𝟭:𝟬𝟬-𝟭𝟮:𝟯𝟬)

Off the back of his Westside Escapade EP , a slew of regular guest mixes, and a heaving live set at In The Moment Radio’s Evelyn Reimagined, AKA Zeb shows no signs of slowing down.

Zeb remains consistent in the quality of his output via his home-grown co-owned @villarecordings , the releases of which have garnered acclaim from major international artists and frequent airtime on beloved radio stations such as PBS, cementing his spot in amongst the Naarm dance music prestige.

𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝘂𝘀 𝗠𝘆𝗹𝗲𝘀 (𝟭𝟮:𝟯𝟬-𝟮:𝟬𝟬)

Closing out the evening is Highland House-head Julius Myles, wielding an avid passion and curiosity for soulful sounds found only in the crates hidden behind the desk of your favourite record stores.

When not spinning records across Naarm, Julius keeps himself and a large portion of the DJ population occupied with his ever-expanding @burnin.mp3 event series consistently showcasing the best and brightest both near and far. by @aka_zeb

We’re honoured to welcome producer-performer-powerhouse and treasured local @aka_zeb as our first guest mixer of the year for The Waxburners on @area3000.radio (Episode 6!)

Aka Zeb’s sound evolves from its jazzy foundation as each EP hits the shelves, deftly paying homage to legends from all corners of music while staying firmly planted on home soil with his mainstay local collaborators such as Alice Payne and Uno Lizard.

Zeb has become hard to miss in recent years, with his productions consigned by industry titans Marcellus Pittman, DJ Kemit & Chez Damier to name a few. Finn was there to witness the magical moment that somebody passed a red-labeled record onto the stage at Moodymann’s set at the Northcote theatre in 2025. After an almost lightspeed “g-check” of the A-side, the entire theatre was filled with the irrefutably deep first chord of his track Beggin’ For You with Venessa.

Tune in tonight from 8pm on @area3000.radio for an hour of jazzy power from AKA Zeb, followed up by Hi-Dae’s monthly picks to take you home.

His relentless passion and prolific output keep him at the forefront of the music scene, making waves from Adelaide to Amsterdam and everywhere in between. by @aka_zeb
