10/10 recommend raising children outdoors in nature 🌲

This is our second summer with Julien and spending so much time outside has been sooo rewarding. I know it's not always an option but I feel a massive difference in all of our nervous systems every time we spend a good amount of time in nature so prioritizing outside time every single day is a must now. I also see the impact it has had on my nieces and my friend's kids - and how being in touch with nature has shaped them into such lovely little people.

The true challenge will be to get out when the weather is not so nice but I'm going to really try to spend more time outside rain or shine. by @akadence

EARTH OFFERING 💐

I've been sitting on these photos for a while. Almost two years. When we created them, we didn't have a clear purpose, just wanted to create some art. We took so many photos that day, and these were the last ones.. just as the sun was going down and we were alone with the river. I remember my intention as I offered the flowers to the water. The feeling of love and gratitude pouring from my heart, and the way the flowers surrounded me as if by magic.

I remember feeling held by nature / God / the universe in this moment. I was carrying a dream within me and one month later, I was carrying that very dream in my belly.

Reoccurring themes have been showing up in my life a lot lately and these photos resonate with them so maybe it's time to share.

Release. request. receive.

Letting go and living fully in the moment...the pleasure and pain of presence and how releasing things makes room for more of what you want. Releasing energy in the body, releasing fear, guilt, shame, attachment to outcomes... whatever you are holding that you know you need to let go of.. here's your reminder.

It's the death / rebirth cycle - including the ego death process that comes naturally when becoming a parent and when going through most big changes in life. It sits you down with a brisk force that demands humility. It opens the heart more than I could have ever imagined and shifts our gaze from outward to inward for just enough time to soften a little. To allow the uncomfortable feelings that come hand in hand with growth to cradle us in reality. This is our life and we are worthy of feeling all of it with grace and gratitude. It's the contrast that makes feeling good so great after all.

It's letting go of attachments to plans, people, places, priorities and anything else that no longer aligns so that the things that do align can appear. It's allowing it to come and feeling worthy to receive all of what we request and more. Releasing with love and honoring the versions of ourselves we needed to be in order to be where we are now. And now we are ready to relax and receive.
