Oasis released "Cigarettes & Alcohol" as the fourth & final single from debut album "Definitely Maybe" on this day in 1994.

Pictured are the original 12", limited edition numbered 7" (4442) & cigarette box cassette versions of the single.

The single was backed with I Am The Walrus, Listen Up & Fade Away across these formats & the CD.

What a single!!

"Holy Mountain" was released as the first single from the third Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds album "Who Built The Moon?" on this day in 2017.

This song has opened our set ever since & still blows us away, never mind the crowd!! Love this song!

The single featured the incredible Dead In The Water as it's b-side, as well as amazing artwork by Gareth Halliday Art.

Oasis released what turned out to be their last studio album, "Dig Out Your Soul", on this day in 2008.

Bag It Up
The Turning
Waiting For The Rapture
The Shock Of The Lightning
I'm Outta Time
(Get Off Your) High Horse Lady
Falling Down
To Be Where There's Life
Ain't Got Nothin'
The Nature Of Reality
Soldier On

What are your thoughts & memories of this collection & the subsequent tour?

Personally, I think it's a great album up to & including Falling Down, then it drops off massively & let's the whole album down. No coincidence that 6 of the first 7 songs were written by Noel. (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady has a place on this album & fits well to break up the two sides.

Still want to know why Bag It Up & The Turning were never played on the tour; probably because Liam couldn't sing them live.
