Just scrolling through DMs from our dearly missed friend Dr Cristina Allen. This week we gathered en masse to celebrate her beautiful soul and to feel her profound beauty and influence. Her husband Jason will keep it alive in Meaford Ontario where things in his and in her name will thrive. When bands feel more like family. It was my close pal Shawn @akasph (2nd slide) who introduced me to @countrycrooner and Big Tobacco @bigtobaccomusic and I was so taken with their playing and their warm hearts that we presented them at The Dakota, and then brought them north for shows, the next being Saturday Aug 16th in the backyard at Wild Woods Studio, Thornbury. It’ll be the second of two of our summer bashes for which tickets can be had now while they last. It’s a BYOB affair for friends who enjoy classic country music and dancing on the grass. Both kinds. DM for more info and a pair or two. Out of towners are booking in at Royal Harbour Resort - walking distance to Wild Woods, both steps from downtown Thornbury which is 15 minutes west of Blue Mountain. by @akasph
