21 years ago today, I became a Mary Kay Director.

Today, on that exact same date, my 18-year-old daughter became one too! 🎀

Watching her step into leadership and become a Director at 18 is one of those full-circle moments I’ll never forget.

21 years. Two Directors. One very special date.

And the sweetest part? I get a front row seat into the journey that God is unfolding!#motherhood #marykay #motherdaughter 💗

Saturday’s are full of sports! Harper PR’d in her 5K race today! Placed 6th overall!!! Hawkins had a baseball tournament!!! Got a nice hit & got walked! I love watching them do what they love! by @akatherineward

We had the honor of being invited to speak at Career Day for a local private school and what a joy it was to share with Hayden as she is building her career! First time for her to speak with a microphone & she owned it with confidence & intentionality! God filled her with scripture specific for today, speaking into children and encouraging them in seeking God for those next steps in life! This beautiful daughter of mine is 30 days away from being a New Director, on Sept 30. God is doing a great work in teaching her and guiding her as she is learning how to lead women in making choices & changes that better their lives, centered on Christ, family & business! God’s timing is always beautiful too bc although she & I both would have said we wished this day came sooner, God showed us that Sept 30, 2005 (21 years ago) was the day that I became a Director & 21 years later, my very own daughter will too! 💕 by @akatherineward

At dinner tonight, I ordered a glass of wine. A Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. The wine came to the table & I had a sip. I knew right away, it wasn’t what I ordered. I had another sip and just knew. I didn’t like it. Chardonnay. Not my favorite. Do I say something? I don’t want to come across as a wine snob, but I knew. So I asked the waiter. He brought over a new glass. We compared the two. One dark in yellow color, one light crispy, almost clear. Tasted. Yep, Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. Waiter looked at me like, how’d you know? I’ve tasted hundreds of wines. I’m still loyal to brands I sold. First job out of college -I worked for the largest wine distributor. 🩷 Enjoyed a nice glass of SB with my steak over salad! by @akatherineward
