This mini series explores the duality I perceive within my own identity. Often questioning the ground I stand on in terms of style and aesthetics, I find myself split between two sides. One belongs to the natural world and mountaineering, drawn to functionality, utility and clothing as a form of gear. The other belongs to city life and to the pleasure of dressing up, where clothing becomes more deliberate, constructed and expressive.

At times, these two worlds seem to contradict one another, yet neither feels more authentic than the other. Rather than choosing between them, I am interested in the space where they begin to coexist, where function meets ornament and seemingly opposing ways of dressing become part of the same visual language. The series is an attempt to understand that tension without necessarily resolving it.

The designs featured in this series are by @kristinalyubenova for @wearnedra . Special thanks to her and to my beloved assistant, @georgiyordanov.99 , who made this idea possible.

After a 12 hour drive to Chamonix, transporting these voluminous garments by trains and lifts through the mountains, and navigating the unexpected circumstances that come with working in public spaces and crossing paths with tourists along the way, the project became an experience of its own.
