Very excited to announce today that my first two solo recorded songs of my upcoming album are available on all streaming platforms to share with you. They’re called “Falling and “Wanna Wait”. Link to streaming services and bandcamp in bio
Both songs feature my friend Mike @crunchwrapwishes rockin’ the drums, so many thanks to him and to the super cool @markchalecki for his sonic touch on my final mixes. These songs were written straight from the heart on piano and guitar, and a lot of love was put into crafting and producing them. Many thanks to my awesome friend @michelle.bolden.94 for creating the cover art. I’m stoked to be going into the start of this year releasing new music, and I’m very much looking forward to performing these and other songs live. Been thinking about my Grandfather (Ong Noi) a lot recently - so thankful that I got to spend my senior year of high school with him in San Diego during his final years - his perseverance and fighting spirit is still a constant source of inspiration and grounding in times of change and growth - having served in the San Diego Navy starting from the late seventies, as well as his time as a captain in the South Vietnam Navy, my grandpa was very much a people’s person and wore many different hats connecting many people of different backgrounds and ethnicities together - he had a mighty laugh, loved nasa, loved listening to patsy cline and other American oldies - it’s interesting always connecting the dots and reflecting deeper upon one’s own family and heritage - grateful for him tenth-fold - to see the lineage and traits carried on from my pops towards myself- nothing but a sense of gratitude towards my roots through the ancestral bloodlines, love you Ong Noi! 🙏❤️✨⚓️

as summer ends, I had the inclination to get back on the board these past couple days. with the incredible heatwave of the past months, along with my right knee’s meniscus popping daily, I’ve been inactive on the skate front- hope to be skating more as the fall season begins, better rusted than busted @oldbonestherapy keeping my knee stable

One of the best thanksgiving weekends in my life so far - thankful for my band and local group of friends that kick it in the city of #tustincalifornia - been loving the small town city vibes lately.. this year and season has been a little more energetic and fun on the daily.. had some daily skateboarding at the local #tustinskatepark and was stoked to kick it at @thetustininn on the evenings with the diverse crew of people - enjoyed some memorable meals had @thaifavoritecuisine_tustin for thanksgiving with my folks, as well as got Thai food delivered to my bandmates house in #orangecalifornia close to villa park - trying to step up my fitness game in my thirties as the gen-x’ers around me have been pretty on top of that - nights chilling in the backyard in #tustinranch and weekends cruising with my bandmate and homie ceo in his #57chevy .. also enjoying some #phoapchao - which is pho noodles fried into a crispy shell with some delicious soup for dipping - thankful for so much, this year has been one of the most transformative, intense, chaotically beautiful and high key vibrations of radness all around .. miss my friends abroad, out of state, and up and down LA, San Diego, and the IE but it’s been sweet keeping things local local - much needed for my well being and zoned in focus in my current main band as we dig deeper into challenging covers while collectively amassing a ton of originals in the process.. #mentalhealthmatters .. I am thankful for my friendships, the #intergenerational connections and to do things in a way that make me happy #againstthegrain of what’s around me. #thanksgiving2025 was awesome - shoutout to the Native American brothers and sisters too - as a #vietnameseamerican I am grateful for so much and try to practice that daily gratitude and #givethanks for so much in the imperfections of our little subjective worlds and circles that we coexist and cohabitate in..giving thanks helps rewire my brain into finding the good in a world that at times throws that condensed negativity at us, and on those lower days where everything seems like an uphill battle - keep shining the light on darkness, shake up your routines & patterns #happydanksgiving taken in Orange County, California by @akeeveetee

Cruising through the new downtown Santa Ana skatepark over on 5th and the Frida Cinema over at the Parking structure on the intersection.
