06.12.25. Endurance Race organised by DFK & Kartbaan Strijen.
Last minute call to join Akio in his IAME X30 Senior kart!
A two hour drive at Strijen in wet conditions.
First time for me in a 2 stroke at this beautiful track.

But we learn fast;)

Qualifcation by Akio; P10/18.
Start & first stint by me; starting from P18 due to a motorstart issue.
But 2 hours to fix it.
After 30 minutes first pitstop. Great teamwork. We were already at P6!
Second stint moving from P6 to P2 !
So after 1 hour and 99 laps it was up to Akio to finish the job.
He did great with a solid pace and good defending.
We finished 2nd behind a strong team but were 1 lap in front of P3

Thanks Akio and your father for the teamwork and the fun!

Also thanks to the whole DFK team for a great day. Also a shout out to all marshalls and ofcourse kartbaan Strijen.
Because; “In Strijen leer je Rijen!”.

Round 6 of the NXT GP Dutch Open.
(Round 7 post coming later) It was a great weekend the whole weekend our pace was very strong.

Qualifying: P2 (P2 in class)

Heat A + B: p4 (p2 in class)
Had a bad starts got pushed wide in the first corner and I needed to back out of the corner so I dropped to P5 and got back to P4.

Heat B + C: P1 (P1 in class)
Started Pole and made some mistakes and had a close fight with P2 but I managed to defend my position.

Finale: P3 (P2 in class)
Started from P3 and later on in the race I needed to defend from behind and I managed to defend and I remained P3.

P2 in the Senior National Iame class so it’s great for how the season has been going.

Last weekend I was at Kartcircuit pottendijk for the first round of the NXT GP Dutch Open.

We arrived on Friday early in the morning for training, we unloaded the kart and we were ready to drive when we tried to start the kart to warm it up it didn’t start so we asked some people and then they figured out that the electrical parts were broken and they didn’t have the parts so we needed to drive back to Amsterdam to fix the kart so we had no practice on Friday.

Qualifying: P15 out of 26
I was getting blocked on my good laps so I wasn’t really happy with the results.

Race 1: P25
I went to P11 at the start but in the beginning of the second lap someone pushed me from behind so I crashed and lost all the places.

Race 2: P14
The start was great the pace was good and we managed to get 11 places in this race.

Race 3: P13
I had a bad start so I fell back to P18 but after the grid started spreading apart I started catching people so I gained back 5 places.

Great day at Kartbaan Strijen

In the beginning of the day my engine wasn’t starting but we managed to fix it, did some great laps but I was getting tired really quick so I couldn’t fully complete the sessions.

The next to last session my Engine wasn’t starting so we just packed up and went home.
