POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I recently made the graphic for @blk_emos as well as some music for the tape. We got Tees and bracelets ready for pre order on our site 👀👀

This was the first graphic I’ve made and it was fun to make and be a part of something bigger than myself so dm me for inquiries if you also want something made too. Go show some love on our website - blkemos.com💜💚 by @akivarts_

“Touch”

An interactive installation project for my Advanced media course. I experimented with dual projections, displaying both a prerecorded and live show. Furthermore, I played with concepts of time, light, movement. I’m surprised with how mesmerizing the final product of this installation came out and I’m thankful to the ideas and feedback I received from my colleagues.

One side of my work is a prerecorded video of me playing with a bag of soapy water underneath an overhead projector. I then used a digital projector to display this recording onto rolls of paper.

The other side of my installation is an interactive experience, letting others recreate the projection on the first side by having a live feed of their palms and fingers interacting with the bag of soapy water. The paper rolls themselves were all movable, adding another interactive element to my work.

The last three slides include my process and early iterations of this idea

Untitled

30 x 40 Acrylic painting on Canvas

THIS IS FOR SALE

Made this piece for my emulation project in my painting class. We had to research an artist and their process to inspire our own work. I was inspired by Nyoman masriadi. Although he is an oil painter, i wanted to still emulate his process of bold compositions and caricatures. I originally planned on painting just the stereotypical pro wrestler but I’ve always been interested in Luchador because of their deep rooted history in Mexican culture as well as how they often are portrayed as heroes and villains. by @akivarts_
