It’s a new year, still no ceasefire.
I’ve tagged some accounts I’ve found informative and useful to keep up with events, information and actions in support of Palestine.

If you’re new to it all here’s a breakdown.

@letstalkpalestine - a mini “Go to” Wikipedia style page with history and frequent updates on the occupation in Palestine. I encourage you to follow their channel as the updates are most frequent there 💪🏽

@eye.on.palestine - another excellent account with updates; mostly video related.

@wizard_bisan1 - Bisan is amazing. I hope every day she is safe. She is a reporter who has kept us informed throughout the horrors of her people’s genocide. Bisan is enduring it all; Death, starvation, injury, pain, distress, homelessness, lack of rest, poor health… and she still speaks for her people.

@motaz_azaiza - another incredible reporter. These reporters we see are actually just regular people. Brave people who despite everything, continue to make sure the voices of their people are heard. Without these accounts, we would not have the understanding of the severity and depravity of the actions Israhell have made.

@freepalestinemelb @apan4palestine - local organisations with information on actions related to us locally and events to attend. Our involvement with local government and our show of physical support is paramount to helping change the narrative nationally. Australia is still complicit in this “war” and mainstream media continues to vilify the oppressed and sympathise with the oppressors. We cannot allow this to continue in 2024. by @akiyaguchi

Photos with my best friend 🌼
In the weeks after Haru’s due date had come and left, I felt a little bit in limbo; twiddling my thumbs hoping each passing day he would arrive. My tummy was very big and I was aware that these might be the last moments I had in this beautiful fleeting stage of motherhood, so I asked my sweet friend @honmemishi @honshotyou to capture some photos of Jim and I.
The photos are so beautiful, we will cherish them forever. I can’t believe my little Haru is in that tummy! ❤️ by @akiyaguchi

Thank you to everyone who has helped Jim and I with this little baby of ours ❤️

We’ve been so lucky to have had the support not only of our beautiful families, but of our friends. You don’t realise how amazingly good it is to get hand-me-downs until your baby is here, and is soiling every outfit you put them in at least 3 times per day 😅

From the lovely gifts, the check ins and the genuine offers of help, they’ve all played a role in allowing us to make this house feel like a home, and for us to be able to focus on our baby 🥹

So to everyone who has contributed in some way, please know we are thinking about you and are so grateful to you. It truly does take a village! 🍼🍼🍼 by @akiyaguchi

Haru 春
true to his name 🌸
Our Spring baby was born on Saturday the 5th of September and we love him so so so so so much.

Thank you so much for all the lovely wishes, we are so lucky to be healthy and have lots of help from the ones we love 🌟
