Delhi today: 35,000+ personnel, facial recognition, drones, CCTV, rooftop spotters, 45 metro stations shut, around 500 detained before it even started. For about 7,000 protesters asking for the CEC's resignation. That's roughly 5 cops per protester. (Delhi Police deploy 35,000 personnel ahead of CJP protest: Report +2)
NCRB 2024: 29,536 rapes, 80+ a day, and 2,06,777 rape cases still pending trial.
Where were the drones for that?
The tech exists. The manpower exists. It just shows up when the government feels unsafe.

PM Modi called it a "cultural shock" when young women used abusive language at the Jantar Mantar protest over the NEET paper leak.

Now look at what NCRB's Crime in India 2024 report actually recorded:

4,41,534 cases of crimes against women.

29,536 rape cases, more than 80 a day.

1,87,702 crimes against children, up 5.9% from 2023, with 69,191 under POCSO.

2,06,777 rape cases still pending trial at the end of 2024.

A minor swearing out of anger got a video message from the PM.

80+ rapes a day doesn't get that.

Lady Shri Ram College. One of the top women's colleges in the country.

Sitting in New Delhi the capital of a nation of 1.4 billion people. Forced to tell its students don't come to class.

Log in from home.

Because a 17 year old was gang raped at a park 50 metres from its back gate.

The men who did it posed as police officers. Let that sit with you. The uniform meant to protect her was used to trap her.

4 rape cases. 10 days. One city. The capital city.

And the state's response wasn't more police, wasn't accountability, wasn't curfew for the predators. It was "girls, you stay inside."

We didn't fail women today. We've been failing them for decades and finally ran out of ways to hide it.

Kriti Sanon wore an outfit in a festival ad and it was gone within 48 hours of backlash.

Gurmeet Ram Rahim, convicted of rape, has been granted 17 temporary releases from prison since 2017 including one this week.

I haven't even gotten to how many of the same voices outraged over her outfit stayed completely silent about his.

Caste and religion were never supposed to be shortcuts to superiority.

They became excuses for people who had nothing else to offer.

You can be born Muslim, Dalit, Brahmin, anything.

That's not a choice.

But discrimination is.

And the day you choose it, you stop being human first, before you're anything else.

I haven't even gotten to the spiritual drawbacks of it.

Gender inequality doesn't just hurt women. It shows up in the GDP.

I'm not saying the numbers are close. I'm saying they were never designed to be equal.
I haven't even covered the countries where women can't own the house they live in.

We taught kids to fear strangers. Nobody taught adults to question the people they trust.

Most abuse isn't a stranger grabbing a kid off the street. it's someone already inside the house. A relative. A family friend. A tutor.

Given unrestricted access because questioning them felt rude.
Called it "they're practically family."

A stranger gets reported in seconds. A trusted insider gets defended even after a kid tries to say something.

Isobel Thomason, 22, was secretly filmed in Manchester by a stranger who'd asked for her number. She found out only after.

A man in Barcelona secretly filmed 320 women this way, sold the footage as "seduction" course content. He got arrested. Most don't.

Reservation exists because caste discrimination exists. Kill the caste system, reservation dies on its own. Stop fighting the outcome, fight the cause.

Same guy who WhatsApp-forwards his gotra with pride or instagram bio says his surname only.

Same guy who picked his bride's caste before her personality.

Same guy who got the job because "apna banda hai."

Calls it "merit" when it works for him. Calls it "quota culture" when it doesn't.

"Reservation Hatao" trends the same week nobody's trending "Caste Column Hatao" from marriage sites, job referrals, or society WhatsApp groups.

There are people who genuinely needs the reservations, remove the castism first then talk Abt reservation.
