African Awareness Month ... or Black History Month
Starts tomorrow!

Let's talk about famous warriors and leaders from all over Africa.

Let's learn more about the cultures, people, climates and the states in each region.

Let's talk about similarities and about the things Caribbean people and other members of the diaspora have maintained intentionally or otherwise even after all of this time.

Let's learn more about the good stuff and build an image for ourselves of what our ancestors' lives were like with the goal of strengthening our understanding of what it means to be Caribbean people.

We're also going to see Barabdos through the eyes of some of my very talented friends. 7 posts a week is allot and I needed some help 😆.

History is written by the "victors," and it's our turn to win. Let's learn the about the rich history and culture of the people we are descended from, which begins ages before the Dutch arrived on African Shores. Most importantly, let's tell these stories once we have learned them!

Im always going to need a reason to lock. First Cohobblopot is good but a @drejjordan performance sealed the deal and now I have had a cultural experience.

The music released for #Cropover2026 truly is what got me outside.

Other people performed at #cohobblopot2026 too I will make another post about those amazing performers 🫣 but I left home for a reason....

Selectively outside for crop over 2026 ... I can't commit full time.

For what ever the reason was I had to be at @ballersloungebarbados last night to see @drejjordan it was non negotiable.

@isaacgphillips was a fantastic host and it was amazing to get to see the artist perform in a space like that. The vibes of a fete without the stress of one.
